Tantalizing one-of-a-kind treasures priced right. Store is run my volunteers which keeps prices really low.
Angels in the Attic is the place to go for excellent prices on clothing, household goods, and jewelry. The proceeds go to support the Rescue Squad, Fire Department, and other local charities. I recently bought a most excellent book of Rudyard Kipling's poetry, there are many classics in the bookshelves. The sewing room has boxes of patterns and notions, and fabric shelves. At today's retail prices, good prices are hard to find!
This store accepts donations from the local county residents, sorts them, and places them on sale. I have found a spatula for 50 cents, a statue of a dog for $1, and workshoes for $2. Also a bagel cutter for $2, I noticed that blue jeans go for a couple dollars. The adjacent Angels Boutique has upscale items from estates, like antique ceramics, precious glassware, antique furniture, collectible dolls, all at very low prices.Check for open hours and days, as this store is operated by volunteers from the community. The proceeds from store sales go to local charities like food pantries or senior assistance
Lots of interesting items and clothing. Seemed to have a better class of items than many thrift stores and it is for a good cause. They have books, kitchen items, jewelry, shoes, clothing, etc. We thought the clothing looked much better than what you would find at Goodwill. I would have bought several items of clothing if they had been my size. They had lots of cute kids clothes also.
I always drop by the Angels in the Attice, never know what you will find. Once purchased a genuine fake Regulator wall clock. Still have it hanging in our living room.
Another trip to this location in downtown Floyd Virginia is worth it. It is located adjacent to the well known Floyd Country Store (bluegrass music). Locals shop here a lot, but there are many out of towners also seeking bargains. The staff is almost all volunteers, and it is a non-profit charity, so the prices are unusually low. The stock ranges from blue jeans to picture frames to kitchen utensils, tools, knives, lighting fixtures, etc.I always stroll next door to the Angels Boutique, which has items that are over $5, and there can be treasures or antiques found, or sometimes a guitar, leather jacket, or artworks. Some items are donated from estates.
This store is run by volunteers as a charity fund raiser. Located next door to the famous Floyd Country Store and its bluegrass music performances.Need jeans, jackets, blouses, shirts, or shorts? Need kitchen items, picture frames, books, furniture, memorabilia, antiques? Need tools, toys, children's books? All of these and much more are available in the store and in the adjoining Angels Boutique (where high end items are available at bargain prices). The charity turns all proceeds (after lighting and heat) to local charities supporting children, the elderly, those ill, and those hungry.
