Very nice view going up. Different legends to get off and explore. Many things to do and they have child care.
The Good:Kids hill was incredibly well designed with an easy 2-man chair lift and incredibly kind and helpful lift operators! The hill was just long enough and at just the right pitch to be able to effectively learn how to ski.The Bad:WAY overpriced for private ski lesson ($500 for 3 hours). "One Ski Hill Place" restaurant on Peak 8 was insanely overpriced, insanely overcrowded, and the food was quite possibly the worst food I have ever been served in my life.
Our first time there, and everyone we talked to were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Children took snowboarding lessons and the instructors were very interactive, positive and supportive. Children loved it.
Peak 8 has always been a must visit when we are visiting Breckenridge! It seems like they add more and more every year! The Alpine Slide and Alpine Coaster are two must rides when you are visiting Peak 8!
We liked that the roller coasters were not "fancy" and looked like something you would make in your backyard (only much better). And they were fast and thrilling enough that my 9 year old twin boys used the park several times during our week long visit. But it is too expensive for what it is.
We took the Gondola up and got off at Peak 8 Fun Park. We didn't have time in our schedule to participate, BUT, whoever was there looked like they were having a great time! Looked like great fun for the whole family! Our kids weren't with us on this trip, but next time!
This is a very nice park for all ages. You can do things at your own pace. Even if the weather is cloudy or cool, put on your sunscreen, I got the burn of my life because i forgot to wear my hat or put on sunscreen. The only disappointment is the Zip line was down for maintanence.
Our group of 16 people with 8 adults and kids ages 17, 16, 12, 11, 8, 7, 6, and 6 all had a blast here. The slides are so fun, but be careful with your speed on the alpine slide!
This is a great place to take bored kids. Teenagers can do the various activities while parents listen to music and have some food and drinks on the spacious patio area. Like all amusement park type areas, it's expensive, but they have some unique features, like the zip line and alpine slide, that you can't do just anywhere. Mark a few things off your bucket list!
We had a blast with a 4 year old. It was not very crowded (weekday after Colorado kids had already gone back to school). We did not have to wait for anything. I could say at the price point for adults that it would be irritating if there were 1 hour lines like other reviewers have said. We loved the miniature golf, maze and jump house (our son was alone in there). The Alpine Slide and the roller coaster were a blast. Our 4 year old rode with us and loved it. Our son's favorite part of the whole thing though was the duck race. This is a little rubber duck race that they run down a sluice. It was great even though there were only 2 ducks "racing".The pile of snow was a bit disgusting, but that is to be expected given it was the 20s of August. All in all, we recommend this place, but remember it is pretty expensive.
I am sixty-five years young and when we went to the end of the gondola run there was thus fun park with miniature golf, zip lines and best of all a sled run it was fast and would go faster than I cared to go most of the time. It was a lot of fun.
What a fun way to spend the morning! We decided to only purchase one ride on the Alpine Slide & then tickets on the super chair to hike around further up.The alpine slide is so much fun!! If you only decide to do one thing up here that should be it. I can see why so many families buy the day pass & spend the entire day doing everything the Fun Park has to offer. We got there right when it opened (at 9:30) & had no lines at all. One afternoon we headed back up to enjoy a drink & people watch & the lines were crazy! So glad we planned ahead & enjoyed it before it got too busy. The super chair (on Peak 7) is a nice ride up & you get some great views of Breckenridge on some very easy trails.
This was one of the highlights of a 9 day trip to Colorado. Our family had a wonderful time at the Fun Park. Arrive early and buy an all day pass you won't regret it.
My husband & I rode the Gondola up to Peak 8 in the morning. We weren't sure what we would want to do once we got there but decided on the Alpine Slide. As we rode up the ski lift to get to the top of the slide, we noticed quite a few "putt-putters" going down the slide and I made mention that I sure hoped I didn't get behind someone going really slow because I wanted to get my money's worth! My husband went in front of me and let's just say he was very shocked when it wasn't me that came down behind him--as I had flipped from going too fast and was off to the side of the track with injuries--thankfully nothing more serious than a torn ear and hand & face burns. I had overdressed for the weather (long yoga-style pants as well as compression pants, and two long-sleeved shirts) which saved my arms & legs. The friction melted my sleeve and pants leg so I was VERY lucky! PLEASE pay attention to the signs that say that you can flip from going too fast--because I can truly testify to it! Slow down & smell the roses!
My 10 year old son loved this place we stayed at the grand lodge on peak 7 so it was a short gondola ride away. Prices were up from the last time we were here but still a great time. Also not very busy this time of year so we got to ride alot
