Nice set up. Sepedatew parks for small and dogs. Nice bun h of xog owners. Park system still seem to be working out bugs with the plumbing and it would be nice to have a porta Johnny cor ths humans....
Great place to walk the dog or take a ride on your bike with all the new trails. But beware of the deer ticks especially on the south side of the park near the old pole farm.
Mercer County, NJ has a lot of hidden treasures. Rosedale Park, located in Hopewell Township (near Pennington and Lawrenceville, NJ) is a wonderful place for singles, couples and families looking to enjoy nature, a nice park and now a dog park! The park includes a manmade lake that is stocked with fish, a walking trail, brooks, streams and other place for explorers and a great playground for kids. There are also picnic areas that are available for functions. The park is run by the Mercer County Park Commission so you'll probably need to contact them for permission to use the covered picnic areas. If you're a photographer, bring your camera and look around. There are some truly unique and scenic sites that are worthy of your time and keen eye. I'll often stop by here and bring lunch so I can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is a small covered veranda on the lake and small picnic tables scattered around the lake as well. If your'e lucky, you'll spot one of the local hunters, the red-tailed hawks that often sit in the trees. They're beautiful to look at. Have fun!
Rosedale Park has been around in Hopewell for a long time, but in 2014 they did a major overhaul of the park. A large dog area has been added, a fishing dock and a boat launching dock have been added (non-motorized). The parking areas have been redone, and new kids play areas have been built. Probably the best feature of the park is that it is now connected to the Lawrence / Hopewell Trail. You can leave your car at Rosedale Park and either walk or bike on the miles of connected trails in the Hopewell area.
A nice lake and hiking area and a well equipped off leash dog area. In fact 2, one for smaller dogs.
Rosedale Park is just a gorgeous spot in the heart of New Jersey's Mercer County. The "regular" park aspect is beautiful, with a lovely pond and lots of trails for runners, cyclists, etc. What drew us there the first time -- and keeps us coming back -- is a relatively new dog park. It's superb! Free to all, there's a park for small dogs and a park for the rest. The latter (ours is "large") has all sorts of tunnels and hills and just a lot of great running space. The folks you meet there tend to be very friendly. The only downside is there's a very elaborate water fountain that never seems to works. Dogs don't elaborate. Doggie bags are provided, which is a nice touch. Really well done.
