Cool piece of architecture in Cincinnati if you want to read up on it. The lower level houses some good restaurants, etc but it's really going up to the top that makes it worthwhile. Once you get to the top floor, you've got to take an original elevator that looks like it's from the 1820's to the very top. Once there, you've got a great little gift station and then bam...there you are looking at the world according to Cincinnati. Get some great panoramics and enjoy!
For $2 it is well worth the view! It is open air so it could be a bit chilly in the winter but it was 45 degrees yesterday and we were comfortable. We absolutely loved getting a lay of the land from the top. We could spot all the landmarks and enjoyed seeing all the murals on the sides of buildings. Lovely, just lovely!
There is an open rooftop observation deck. The view is spectacular, and admission is only $2. It was very cold and windy, so I couldn't stay out too long. Make sure you bring a coat. Also, you'll need to be able to climb one flight of stairs to reach to reach the observation deck.
For only $2/person, what a great value to see a beautiful birds-eye view of Cincinnati. You can see the entire downtown area, including the riverfront, and well beyond in all directions. It is a great photo spot. It is completely outdoors, which we did not expect. Dress warm if you go in the winter, because you will be outside and it may be windy!
Be sure to ask the concierge at the Netherlands Plaza for information on the fabulous art deco murals on the first and second floors before heading to the top to look out over the city. Amazing that you can just wander around 54 stories above the city, seeing nearly 15 miles on a clear day. Don't expect safety fences either!
This is a beautiful view. You take a couple of elevator rides and a few flights of steps. It's a few dollars per person. You see a view of Cincinnati and the waterfront including Kentucky. Very windy up there so dress appropriately. My wife spent an hour taking pics of the sunset and area.
Great price for a great view, have to go up a few steps, but elevator most of the way. Good to do any time of the year, just dress for it!
We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the Tower to see the shops, enjoy the architecture, and then gave a wondrous dining experience.
The views from the tower are well worth the trip to the observation area. The $2 fee is minimal and you can stay up on top until you are ready to leave. A 360 degree view of the city of Cincinnati and beyond
The absolute best way to get a bird's eye view of the city. It is easy to get to and you just can't beat the value. If you like your attractions cheap and easy to get to this is a great stop while "doing" Cincinnati.
When I called in the morning, the attendant tried to discourage me from visiting. Inspite of this, my daughter and I made the trek to the top floor see Cincinnati from the observation deck. The attendant of the observation deck was extremely rude. Additionally she was closing earlier than her sign stated and refused to allow us to go on the deck. When I pointed this out she said she closed early because that was the time she got to leave. We were extremely disappointed this experience.
This place is not hard to find. You can ask the security guard at the desk on the ground floor and he will give you detailed directions and there are signs everywhere. Once you get up top the view is amazing. 2$ for adults 1$ kids. The place you pay is small and the attendant was older but she was sweet. It's a must see. Enter Carew through the doors under the sky bridge and go to the elevators on the left. Go to the 45th floor get off and go to the hallway and to your left - on the left there is a smaller elevator take it up to 48 or if you are sketched out there are stairs. The elevator is fine it just holds 4 though. While you are downtown you should go for sure.
Well worth our visit on the 49th floor. The observation deck is outdoors. Reasonable parking is right across the street.
We enjoy visiting historic buildings and this one is a beauty on the outside. In the lobby inside, it looks a bit tired and dirty. Not much in the way of directions to an observation deck, or info if one does or doesn't exist. We went up an elevator to a high floor for a view and looked out a window. Great of the ball park. The upper floors are offices and the penthouse is a residence, so there isn't really an observation floor. That is really a shame. It'd be a great tourist place downtown.
We had the chance to take the trip to the top at dusk which was perfect timing. Really great views of the city as the sun set. It's a $2 fee so you can't go wrong. You can spend as much time as you want taking in the view.
