This was our 4 and final winery for the day. Every winery we visited we heard that the owner of Serenity Cellars (Joe) consults with some of the other wineries in the area. I think that really says a lot Joe's passion to have all the wineries in the area have good wine not just his. I normally don't like a drier wine but the recommend trying the Sangiovese Aged for nine months in Hungarian oak and styled after our favorite Tuscan style Chianti, this wine presents with flavors of Bing cherry, plum and spice that tease the palate as the velvety mouth feel leads way to a tantalizing finish. We liked it so much we had to take a bottle home. The staff was very friendly and answered all our questions. If I had to rate the wineries we visited this would be in the top two of the 4 we visited this day.
Went to this winery as part of our wine trail itinerary for valentines day. Beautiful place. Live music. Will definitely visit again .
I had a good time at Serenity Cellars in Cleveland, GA. Joe and Tina, the owners, are very accomodating. They have very good wines. Joe is a winemake and he knows what he is doing. This a good place to have a glass of wine and unwind.
Winemaker, Joe has made this location a must see on the North GA Wine trail. The atmosphere and the scenery are very relaxing and peaceful.
Serenity Cellars is the personal label for Joe Smith, the actual winemaker for many (most?) of the wineries in the area. The wines are Italian style - e.g., Sangiovese, Pinot Grigio - and are quite good. The prices are a bit high although not outrageous.
Located in a local neighborhood, this winery is TINY - but they have a nice tasting room and buy their grapes locally. The vintner is skilled and his wines acceptable - definitely make this a stop on your N.Ga wine tour!
Serenity Cellars is a must see! Our friends and we love to come here and listen to live music while enjoying some of the finest wines North Georgia has to offer. The ambiance is lovely yet unpretentious. We always feel right at home.
Joe and Tina have made a great addition to the White County "wine family" with Serenity Cellars. We love to go to their Friday night music specials and enjoy the beautiful outdoors while listening to some of the best music in the area and enjoying some terrific red wine. Our friends regularly drive up from Cobb County to join us for a weekend of fun and music on the patio. With the warm weather returning and new wines being bottled we'll definitely be spending a lot to time with our new friends at Serenity Cellars.
Enjoyed tasting as part of the Unicoi Wine Trail, and this one my favorite stop. The location is perfectly nestled in a valley with great views of the mountains and part of the vineyard. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well which was nice. We enjoyed a picnic outside (plates, forks, knives, and napkins provided by the winery) while some live music played. The bottles were affordable and delicious. I would definitely visit again.
I would have never visited Serenity Cellers had I not been making the “Unicoi Wine Trail.” According to Yonah Mountain Vineyards, Serenity is a “sister” vineyard, and on some of Serenity’s bottles they say their wine is produced by Yonah Mountain Vineyards. The grounds and tasting room resemble Tuscan wine country. That’s no accident.I met Joe Smith, the winemaker, and found him to be a humble, unassuming winemaker with wicked skills. Joe told me he loves Italian wines and grows Sangiovese on the property. I tasted, and bought, his interpretation of a Super Tuscan blend which is named Harmony. The wine was very good and it was reasonably priced. For white wine lovers try Serenity Cellar's Traminette. It won double gold at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and became the only Georgia winery awarded the prestigious "Best in Class".Joe is well known throughout Georgia wine country. He has consulted Cottage and he’s well known at Frogtown and Three Sisters. This Georgia vineyard is a jewel. It’s musch less showy than Wolf Mountain or Montaluce, but the wines are much better.
