My kids and I have the best times here in the summer! Wish that they hired more staff in the concessions stands and did more to keep staff. There appears to be a really high turnover of staff and service is really bad if you want an adult beverage from one of the bars. I went for Labor Day weekend, and they had only TWO bartenders all day! They kept running out of booze, mixers, etc. making it impossible! Imagine waiting for 20-30 minutes to order a drink, only to find out they're now sold out of vodka/mixers/whiskey etc! For $10-14/drink, you'd think that Lake Lanier would get it together! The location/grounds are the main reason why I give them 5 stars.

I took my daughter in law and two grandsons a couple of years ago - it was about 100.00 just to get in the gate. Another 35.00 for hot dogs and fries for lunch. We were there when the gates opened and enjoyed the park the first couple of hours. After that is was long lines for the slides and restrooms and not as enjoyable. We have also gone over by boat, to eat dinner and they charge 10.00 each just to dock to go eat in their restaurant. If you spend 20.00 per person on meals, you will break even. If you go for a drink and appetizer, you will lose money. NOT a good value for the money!

Love the way the slides were turned into snow sledding. Ice skating, fir pits with s'mores and hot chocolate. Great food. The gift shop employees were so accommodating, even helped carry it to the car.

We stayed at the resort and to get in & out of the resort everyday was awful. You would think as much as you pay to stay there they would have a separate entrance for the actual guests. Good luck finding the "lodge" aka lobby of the hotel, snow world or anything else. The signage is few and far between Nad in the night u cannot see it. Not to mention the long lines of cars stopping in the road to view the lights they paid $40- a car to see. The lights were cool but not THAT cool. Snow world was nice, not crowded but 3 areas of snow r not much snow and 1 was closed while we were there. There are 5/6 "snow" slides but not with snow but 3 of the slides were closed while we were there. Snow world is like an abandoned theme park. It could be so much but little effort is put into it. They put just enough there to say they have an "on site" snow park. We will not be back due to the poor customer service from the hotel side and no heat in our lake house.

A bit pricey but fun for the kids in the Summer. They changed the entrance fee recently and you don't have to pay full price just to get in, only if you want to ride the water slides. So, now you can go in with the kids and hang out on the beach in a lounge chair all day unless of course you have little ones, plan to chase them around the kiddie area.

Lake Lanier Beach and Water Park is close to my home so its harder to give an accurate review. I am a little biased as how I go there often. This is a great area and has a lot to offer however I personally feel it is overcrowded !!!

This is the second year I have treated my granddaughter to an overnight at the lodge during Christmas week. The Christmas light display is spectacular. This year we rode in the trolley to see the lights and that was fun! Both years we have had breakfast with Santa and that makes it so special for my granddaughter. The service is outstanding from bellman to front desk. Rooms are large and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend the Lodge and would also like to try it in the summer. They have added an arts and crafts room in lodge for children and my granddaughter spent several hours there. We also went to the petting zoo, but decided not to participate in the sleighing due to the weather.

20 bucks a car load. Save your money if you are just going for the lights. I've seen betters displays, if you plan to stay for the marshmallow roasting or sledding prepare to fork out more money. While the concept if cool, families are usually on a budget at Christmas. Too much for these attractions. I won't go back.

We went to the Magical Night of Lights last year and loved it so we came back this year and brought more family. It is definitely not what it was before! As far as the lights, this year's lights were about 1/3 of what it has been in the past. It took us about 15 minutes at the most to go through the whole thing at a slow pace. Last year, there was a huge Christmas shop at the end that had all kinds of decor and gifts. We had been looking forward to it all year long. This year, there was a small shop that had a few boring and overpriced Christmas items and Lake Lanier merchandise. It seems they are trying to market this seasonal event more towards children now, as there were several rides, cotton candy and popcorn stands, and ice skating. If you're looking for a winter carnival, then this is for you. This is not what we were expecting and not what it has been in past years. It also did not look very inviting as it was so empty. The worst part is that my 88 year old grandmother has been looking forward to this for months. She doesn't get out very much so this was her big holiday outing. Though she has Alzheimer's, she remembered how amazing the event was last year, and she was so incredibly disappointed. She also had to walk pretty far (for her age) and up and down several hills to get to the horrible "gift shop" and to use the restroom. The signs were terrible all throughout and it was difficult to know where to go, despite having a map. We actually left the park accidentally and had to come back in. We thought we had made a mistake and missed half of the lights somewhere, but that was not the case. All in all, it was a total waste of money, gas, and time.

Stop whining people! Most people needs to walk anyways. There's nothing wrong with Lake Lanier! It's a very friendly & clean place. Like they say if you don't like then don't go?!! And how it's set up its just like Walt Disney World. You have to walk to get to places. So I guess you better not go to Walt Disney World either!!!

It's beautiful to see. The water is unbelievable. Winter time you need to come , and see the trees change colors.

There is now a 10 dollar charge to set foot on the beach even if coming in by boat. Docking slips are always full so there is limited places to tie off boat. Then there are the young drunken boaters who tie boats together and stagger around the beach and restaurants. The bathrooms are located too far away from beach and you will most likely meet up with a drunk 21 yr. old trying not to get sick as she tries to get up the endless hill to the bathroom. Makes one wonder how "clean" the Lake water is with bathrooms so far away! Don't even ask how the evening events are.....we no longer go to Sunset Cove. Yes, food, service and amenities all poor.

Us parents liked it too. We liked that we could swim in the lake and sit on the beach but also go in the pool and do some slides. The water slides and wave pool were fun. It's really spread out so prepare to do one section at a time. That was the only bummer. We kept moving our stuff from here to there to the next section. The mini golf was lame but oh well it's included in the price of your ticket. What I really liked was that the carnival type rides were included too. The kids rode the tilt a whirl several times. It's a good and fun place to spend a hot day.

We have not been to Lake Lanier Beach and Water park in some years. As a matter of fact the last time we went we took a cooler in with a picnic lunch and was allowed to do so. We had friends that stayed there so they drove out and picked us up to avoid the parking fee and entrance fee. They had some type of discount coupons or something like that. Any way you can not take a cooler in and that was a bummer. Food and drink is overly priced and not very tasty. Some of the attractions were closed while others needed to be closed due to lack of maintainence. The last time we went the wave pool was not opened and they had problems with that. The employees do not care if you have a good time and are not really interested in assisting you. When this place first opened it was a good place to go and spend the day with family and friends....... not any more. Do not think we will be going back.

No food allowed or drinks. The bad part is last year you could buy a yearly reusable cup for $30 and get it refilled all year at the park. Not a bad deal as when you have an 8 and 10 year old kid they can get their own refills. Well, this year they charge 99 cents plus tax (1.06) for each refill. Think about it. Where and how is an 8 year old supposed to have $1.06 in change while running around a water park? STUPID IDEA. Now the real problems are if you go on a weekend you have to avoid the end of the park near the cove. You can have your kids watch slutty women and men drinking and listen to any kind of nasty rap while trying to enjoy the water park... Brilliant move by management. This is our last year going as most of the time, they have half of the rides closed for no reason. Oh yea, the food stinks.
