Hi,We held our wedding at Peterstone Lakes Golf Club on the 19th Dec and just wanted to write a review to not only thank Elliston and Gaynor for their support and hardwork on the day, but also to recommend this venue to anyone looking for somewhere to hold their wedding.We had a civil ceremony and reception all on site here and the way the day was arranged, with advice from Elliston, was fantastic.We hired the caterers that Elliston uses as part of the wedding package and again, this could not be faulted. The food was excellent and everyone was happy.We hired the LED dancefloor and lighting system - it's not compulsory to hire it but it does make a big difference to the reception room. The bar prices are reasonable and everybody had a great time on the day - all down to the relaxed atmosphere and support of Elliston and Gaynor.Peterstone Lakes is a family run business so you do get that personal touch and they are very flexible in working with you to make sure your special day is just how you want it to be.Thanks again everyone involved.Highly recommended!CheersDenny & Sophie

We had viewed a few wedding venues in and around Cardiff, some of which were lovely but really pricey, and out of our price range to be honest. We found Peterstone Lakes Golf Club online and asked if we could go for a look around. Elliston was very welcoming, and more than happy to show us around. Straight away we could feel the 'family' feel, a family run business that does not have set packages and overly specific menus; we knew this was the place for us. When we were told the price we could not believe how reasonable it was! It is not the grandest place, like Celtic Manor, but that isn't really what we wanted. We wanted a nice place, with good food and decent prices - and that's exactly what we got! From that very first day through to after the wedding, Elliston listened to everything we said and was more than helpful. On the wedding day we couldn't believe how beautiful the room looked. We never imagined it could look as lovely as it did! We hired a DJ with a LED spotlight dance floor and it was full all night! Everyone commented on how lovely the room looked, how nice and helpful the staff were and how delicious the food was. (As the bride I was even allowed my own special meal, as the guests had beef but I chose chicken with a tomato-based sauce). The men played a round of golf the day before which they thoroughly enjoyed.The only downside I suppose is that there is no accommodation on site, but, it is a golf course and golf club; and there are quite a few hotels 10-15minutes away. We also put a box in each of the toilets with things such as mints, hairspray, deodorant etc, one of which was accidentally disposed of the by cleaners, but this was no fault of Elliston's and just an accident. Lovely scenery for photos, wedding guests aren't allowed on the green for insurance reasons but standing near the edge you still get the beautiful scenery; also in the courtyard there is a lovely little arch with flowers on which makes gorgeous photos.We felt our wedding was unique to us, mainly thanks to Elliston being so accommodating. we are planning a wedding here and have had a few financial setbacks the owner and event manager could not be more willing to help us. the service offered has been second to none. the actual place is beyond beautiful and i would recommend it to anyone lookin to celebrate an event

Played Peterstone Lakes GC early September and i have to say...wow! Condition of the course was superb and my golfing buddies and i enjoyed every hole. Best value course i have played in many years and if i did not live so far away i would seriously consider membership. A job well done to the staff and greenkeepers at PLGC.Jon M. West Malling GC

Recently attended a wedding here and was very impressed with the beautiful venue, service and food. I would definitely consider having my wedding here, as the friendliness and efficiency of the staff stood out. Would recommend.

We had our wedding here on the 16th august, Elliston and Gaynor could not have been more helpful and fantastic to make our day beautiful. I cannot reccommend Peterstone high enough!!! Beautiful venue, beautiful grounds, lovely meal which everyone complemented and just an all around amazing day thanks to these guys, cannot thank them enough.

My wife and I played the course on 10 September, and it was the best course we have played for a long time. Great condition. Afterwards we received a very friendly welcome in the bar and chatted to a few members (one I think was the owner). It's a shame other clubs could not be like this. Would genuinely consider becoming members if we moved back to Wales.

Thank you to Peterstone Lakes Golf Club for providing such a fantastic venue for my birthday party. The evening was a huge success due to the staff and the great room we had to celebrate in - I love the fact that the bar/dance floor/tables etc are all in the one room so people are not segregated at all throughout the evening. The venue was decorated brilliantly using balloons/chair covers etc. Also, the food was fantastic & everyone loved the hog roast/salads etc provided. Huge success - thank you!!

I am not from around the area although I have been staying in and around Cardiff during the week with work regularly so I have played on a few courses to fill in any spare time I spend on my own.Greenkeepers have done a great job on the greens/fairways and certainly the fairways are up there amongst the best I have played on. The twilight round during the week is superb value for money.Not only did I really rate the course but I found everyone from the staff through to the club members really friendly and welcoming and I can't always say this about other golf clubs. If I lived around the area I wouldn't even have to think about it I would without a doubt apply for membership here.Thoroughly enjoyed my round here and I plan on coming back in the future.

My husband and myself got married on the 28 June 2014, we had our reception at peterstone golf club. Even from the first visit Elliston put our minds at rest and we had 100% confidence everything would go to plan. From the moment we arrived all guests and ourselves had a warm welcome. I cannot thank Elliston, Gaynor and all the staff enough! We had one tiny blip with a company whom we rented our centre pieces from and straight away Elliston offered to contact them to sort it so that we could enjoy our day with no problems (something he definitely didn't have to do!) our reception and evening went perfectly and the food was outstanding. We have had rave reviews from all that were there about how perfectly everything went and how everything was 10 times better than most weddings they have been to, from the food, the bar (very easily get a drink without queuing) and how organised it was. Again I cannot thank them enough, excellent value for money and a service second to none!!

Myself and my husband had our 30th wedding anniversary party at peterstone golf club, Ellison the manager could not do enough for us the room was beautifully laid out,the food was fantastic, we had the clubs dj he was great, all our family and friends had a great time so did we.we would recomend peterstone golf to to all that would like a special place to celebrate
