It's one of the better beaches on the French riviera/ monaco coastline. It's real sand for a start which makes it much nicer to take a stroll.I imagine in summer it's full of the rich and famous and people desperate to be noticed by the rich and the famous! This visit it was nice and peaceful.
It´s a good beach in Monaco. Very good place to enjoy a summer afternoon. There is also a good structure with showers, toilets and bars in front of the beach.
I suppose when you come to Monte Carlo, Monaco then the beach is not the reason for making this your destination. However with everything else going for it you would think they might spend a bit of money getting proper sand in. That said, it is a better quality than the rocks and pebbles up the coast in Nice. Some nice restaurants along the front too
...only in my imagination, lol. However, you do get to sunbathe with the locals. Beautiful beach and most importantly, FREE!!! The water was clean, clear and fresh! Warmest beach on the Mediterranean coast that I encountered. Great area to spend the day by yourself, with friends or family. Easily located near shops, restaurants, and excellent public facilities.
The only public beach in Monaco. There's a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty to do in terms of water and beach sports, including volleyball and rollerblading, jetski, windsurfing and sea-parachuting.12 May-16 Sep, 8.30am-6pm; Jul-Aug weekends 9am-7pmAdmission fee€2,20; over-sixties €1.50; 0-3 year-olds free.
the protected beach is even more protected now with a long net ... but there are still many fish swimming around, no jellyfish this year and the swimming is free...great sun and beach. (not too crowded either).
Larvotto beach is beautiful and a lot of fun with kids. There is a rock structure which you can walk and jump into the clear and crisp riviera water from. We watched a famous circus group from Montreal practice their jumps here. It is the most well groomed public beach we have ever been to. There are some nice restaurants. We spent most of our time at the main cafe where they sold a huge assortment of ice cream and sandwiches.
This is a small beach. If you try of lying in the sun, there are plenty of water sports on offer, many souvenir shops and loads of places to eat and drink.
Overall, you are able to get without harm into the water, as the entry is not that steep and rocky as in Nice. However, we had impression that water is less clean.
clean beach with very small stones (better than sand), nice view, good swimming in relative hot water, enough space to put a towel (at least during weekdays) and its free:)
It is a rock beach... so not the most comfortable, but close to a car park and it clean. Has private beds available to hire.
love the beach, very clean ! the lunch ( I had sea food pizza ) was wonderful. I never have this type of pizza in the State.
Lovely restaurants and bars, warm water. There's no sand but pebbly, but for me it's OK.A great place to relax.
Very nice and safeWalked down the East beach. It was 6 PM and most of the eateries were closing, as there were not too many people still enjoying the waters. We were getting ready to turn back (as we were almost in France) and noticed something open on the end down on the waters edge / sand (well actually the sand is very small rocks) that served Pizza. The eatery was La Spiaggia and we ordered a dinner for two that included Pizza, Pasta and a Salad. The waiter came back and said no pasta or salad left and he said you want a Margarita Pizza and Tom pushed his head up and down - So we downed two 15” Margarita pizza’s (thin crust with light sauce and cheese) and beers for a surprisingly cheep 25 euros total.
A star studded beach, both public and private beaches. Clean, cozy and vivacious. A fun place to have lunch.
