Really enjoyed the film. 3 hours free underground parking across the road. The seats are rather high and not very tiered so seeing a film which was packed out would have been difficult for a short person like me. They take cash only but there is an automatic teller on the premises
I acquire a different experience with every visit here. I have not attended for four or so months now because of personal issues and back than my experience was quite poor. The staff were rude, cinemas dirty, prices expensive, no wheelchair access as machine was broken, and no concession discounts.Today however was an improvement. The staff were happy and welcoming, cinemas were clean, however prices are still high, machine for wheelchair still broken, and still no concession discounts.I have hopes that more improvements are on the way! Thank you.
As a pensioner, a trip to the cinema is a treat which I used to enjoy but I was in for a rude shock on my last visit, NO more discounts for seniors or pensioners! There is not a lot for pensioners (who do not partake of the one armed bandits) to do in the Bay so now I will still go to the movies but unfortunately not as often.
A rare treat to go to a small 'old-world' cinema after spending so much time at Greater Union V-Max. I love the fact they also have art cinema. A must-do if you're visiting the Bay.
Being a local, I visit the cinema on a fairly regular basis. I have always been treated with respect and politeness, even have had a coffee brought into the cinema by the staff. I also love their frozen chocolate icecreams. Worth going into the cinema just for that. Perhaps it is because I am always polite and respectful that I am treated that way in return. I could not understand Local Volunteer's review. From your vitriolic review I would suggest you "treat others as you would like to be treated yourself". Everyone I know has always spoken well of our local cinema and the staff.
Got to the Bay City (roller) Cnema To be greeted by a ' cash only' policy. An unsmiling lady from behind the counter yelled over to me something about my shopping bag, I didn't reply as she was about 12m away and I had no idea what she meant and she was inaudible . Once tickets purchased with ' cash' we headed to the cinema door and I was again greeted by a very forceful 'you can't bring that in', not clear what they meant etc. I am certainly not a criminal and i am a good citizen and local volunteer in my community Had children accompanying me and it was quite odd for them to have to listen to this nonsensical yet quite brash request ( putting it nicely). I told them it was torrential rain and that the bag was to protect my leather handbag. It aso contained a sandwich which they also took to 'store away' for the film duration. They then started to quiz me on a silk bag which also was a double layer protecting leather bag from the torrent.....It was all a bit distressing and humiliating, unusual and not conducive to a good day out. At $27 for two ( no kids ticket price) I think our money could be spent elsewhere. Narooma Kinema here we come!!!!!
this is a small theatre but well maintained. Great place to pass some time if the wheather is bad.Fouya is a little cramped with game machines but was ok.
I walked in and was instantly impressed, the foyer was decorated with movie memorabilia. They even had a planes standee setup which the kids loved. The choc tops were amazing and the cinema itself was nice and cozy and easy for the kids to see the screen. I will be telling friends and family to go see the friendly team at Bay City Cinemas next time they head to the Bay.
My husband and I visited the cinema from Sydney during the holiday season- my biggest comment is the cheap ticket prices and the choc tops!!! We even went back without seeing a movie for the choc tops, after dinner in the area, the choc tops are made there and served in a delicious waffle cone! We have told our family and friends and will defiantly make visit the cinema each and every year! I would like to add the staff are incredible and friendly, they all had a passion for movies and cinema- was awesome to experience that passion- it was evident with the unreal customer service provided!
visited cinema with children. staff were really helpful and candy bar looked delicious! Kids loved the movie and we were happy as coffee got delivered into the cinema!
Suprised to have so many movie choices in a small country town. I cant believe that they still make their own choc tops, YUM! Happy staff, clean amenities, well worth the visit.
We were disappointed to find that the Seniors discount was no longer available. From the comments of other grey haired patrons, I think we were not the only ones. The coffee was extremely weak and the price was over the top. On the positive side, it was brought to us in the theatre - in a paper cup. All in all, not a great experience. I think we'll be going to the flicks in another town.
Visit to good movie spoilt by expensive ticket & rude staff.Comfortable seats.Small theatres.Expensive prices to pay for tickets.
Teeny Weeny! Felt more like a large home theatre. Service was ok, reasonably clean. Prices a bit steep for what it is.
Not too big but nice atmosphere and enjoyed the movie. Wide variety of movies, offering the latest ones, also in 3D, in several times. Also great location.Very friendly staff, that were glad to help and advice.Parking available. Free or not depending on the times.
