Huge amount of shells and the opal range was interesting. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful and kind towards my child so I could have a look around the store.
As others have said it's a small place but full of interesting things to see and lovely gifts to buy. Well worth dropping by.
Disappointed when i first walked in, the place is very small. It is the size of a lounge room and everything is packed in. On the bright side there is some interesting stuff to see in there for people that haven't travelled. Nice airconditioning and the bloke running it is friendly enough.
Took the kids and grandkids today and almost couldn't believe the low entry cost. Sure we didn't spend hours there but the shells and other displays were interesting, the material for sale is a reasonable price and the manager is friendly and likes to talk about his display. Highly recommended
My partner and I dropped in on a whim, expecting little. However, we were met by a friendly owner and an extensive collection! The fossil shell and bone displays were amazing with a lot of variety. We would have liked to see it in a bigger space to do the collection justice. A range of well-priced gifts and beautiful opal jewellery were available.
we visited in the hope of buying some opal jewellery and were amazed and delighted by the many delightful items on sale. We bought beautiful black opal ear studs for a very good price. Chris, the owner has a wonderful museum of sea items, including fossils over 250m years old. There is much to delight old and young, and Chris is very knowledgeable about the different opals on sale and display. If you are nearby, VISIT. Admission to museum only $1.50. You won't be disappointed.
Eclectic collection of fish and shell/fossil related paraphernalia in what appears to be a converted suburban home.
It's not a large museum but they have a big variety of different shells all over the world. They also have natural rocks and crystal on display. You can also buy some presents from their shop. It's worth to spend some time there. They charge only $2 entry fee.
This was an attraction organised for our coach group, but even though it was interesting and so many different types of shells to see, the room was very small and not good for a coach group to go into all at once. Have to go in relays.
Saw the Museum advertised and on the way past thought we would drop in. Didn't look inviting but still in passing thought why not. Even at $1.50 entry still not worth it.
The variety of the display is very educational and excellent value. The proprieter is most frendly and expert on all articles in the shop.He caters for any type of budget as well.
