Two nights here this past weekend. Rooms were clean and very spacious. Pool was great. Staff was very friendly. Highly reccomended.
My parents and I recently spent time at the Cranberry Golf Resort in mid-December 2014. One of the highlights of the trip was attending Lori Hough's Zumba fitness session in the Living Waters' pool. My mom is a senior and I am almost there. I loved the way she geared the exercise moves to all levels from beginner to advance. GREAT music and good times. Lori is an inspirational trainer who goes out of her way to connect with her clients/friends. The only disappointment was that her Zumba fitness class was not available EVERY day. My mom and I attended two sessions and would have enjoyed MORE!!!
Not far from the Blue. Had a nice stay with my son. Breakfast was good, room clean. I remember the check in was a bit slow thou.
Best New Years 2015 Dinner Buffet . Salad bar , Cheese Table , Pasta Station , Salmon , Prime Rib , Chicken , Veal , vegetables , and of course Desert Spreads .
we stayed there for two nights. The staff are very friendly. They have a indoor swimming pool which is easy access to. The room is big enough to two with big TV. You can tell it's a little bit old but nice and clean. And the location is good too...close to blue mountain, Scandinave Spa and downtown Collingwood. The price is fair compare to those ones in blue mountain village. We'll definitely go back next time going to blue mountain.
I liked the saltwater pools, I liked the whole tripI disliked the business center (computer had payment for you to use)
We enjoyed our day golfing, and it was easy to take our golf clubs and walk. Good course with lots of challenge
I was totally impressed by the staff and the attention to detail. I felt totally welcome at all times! The food was delicious and the entertainment was lots of fun. I highly recommend Cranberry Golf Resort!
30 minutes to check in, water doesn't drain in bathroom sink, no A/C in main room, A/C not cold in bedroom, VHS tape player with TV (does anybody remember videotapes?), resort checked in the bride and groom 1 hr after promised time, parents of the groom took 1 hr to check in, which is totally unprofessional- worst I've ever experienced at any hotel in my entire life.
It was a very nice place to spend some quality time.Weather was very good.Other people's company was good
I chair the Annual Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament here in Collingwood. We have held the event at Cranberry for 6 years now and after just completing our sixth tournament I can say we will be back. Myles Bradford and the staff in the pro shop were fantastic with the golf portion of our day and needless to say our dinner afterwards in the William Watts room was excellent. We had almost 100 people for dinner and everyone enjoyed the delicious meal prepared by Head Chef Patrick Barton. I can also say that the entire staff at Cranberry went above and beyond to make the day another tremendous success. I highly recommend Cranberry Golf resort for any of the many activities that they offer. I know you will not be disappointed.
My husband and I golfed at Cranberry whilst on vacation in the vicinity. My hubby is a 3-handicap golfer, while I only golf twice a year. We had a Travel Zoo coupon and the pro-shop was very accommodating at arranging a convenient tee time. We joined up with a couple of members on the front nine, then golfed by ourselves on the back. The course was in beautiful condition. Some holes are quite challenging. There is quite a lot of water on the course and lots of potential "trouble". After golfing, we had a bite to eat on the outside patio. Food was very good. We would definitely recommend this course to others.
We were in an older 4 unit building. There was one parking place for two units, however, there was a parking lot close by. There were few cooking utensils, an iron but no ironing board. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. We needed to sit on folded blankets at the dining table. The beds were comfortable and the unit was quiet. We were in the upper unit. It has an enclosed staircase that is somewhat steep and narrow. We did not find much to do in the area. I would not stay there again.
We were assigned to the very last room in the OLD building (room # 232) upon check-in, which was not a surprise. As a young family with 2 young children we are not really a great potential time share customer. We got a $129/weekend time share deal at a travel show and they through in some vouchers and gift cards, which we didn't or couldn't even use in the end anyway. The resort itself is very big and there are some highlights. However, the old building with a very old pool (jacuzzi was closed) is not very appealing. Everything was very clean. The time share presentation itself was pretty boring compared to what we experienced in Mexico. The sales guy 'Mikey' was friendly and not very aggressive. At the end of the day I felt a strange vibe in the resort. I found the 'time share' staff somewhat shady without really being able to pinpoint why, it was just the vibe/atmosphere we experienced. There is no way in the world we would pay the published rate of $179/night at the Cranberry Golf Resort in the old building. Check out my video of our room (# 232):http://youtu.be/GS8JfYqzBoQ
Always love staying here! The rooms are comfy and adequate! The staff on the front desk are great! Servers in the lounge could be a little bit more proactive in service! Great live entertainment! Can't wait till they get the rooms renovated! Will be back!
