The Tiki Bar is the point for local and Navy personnel. Great selection of drinks. Good prices. Nicely decorated. Fun for adult over 21. Back of the Island of Solomons. Next or first timer stop grab a drink has fun but never drink and drive.

Rude, drunk, loud, frat party atmosphere. Staff seems indifferent to customers and the manager was noticeably rude to several customers. We had two drinks back at the end of the summer: a Mai Tai and some orange concoction. Both were incredibly sweet - they'd make great hummingbird food but they'd send most humans into diabetic shock. If you go there, stick to beer or bring your insulin.

this is a great place to go get drunk. They have sand all over so if you fall down from being too drunk you won't get hurt. The bar is pet friendly. This comes in handy when you pas out from being to drunk. Your dog can lick you on the face to wake you up.

It's a neat location on the backside of Solomon's Island. We went there towards the end of the summer a couple of times. It wasn't packed like it can be, but it was a lot of fun. Great place to hand out and people watch in the early evening. Prices are decent and service is pretty good.

Opening day party is something you should attend at least once. The whole town partakes in the opening day celebration.

Solomon's Island is small so there aren't that many places to go to. I'm not much of a drinker sO can't comment on the drinks and how good they are. We all were drinking beer so it's ok for that. It's a cute little place under a tiki style hut. The front faces a water dock with boats and is great for people watching. The back area has Sand and sun chairs for relaxing but no real view. What is does have is a great easy going atmosphere that makes it perfect to meet with friends and have a relaxing time.

I lived in the area for over 10 years and just discovered the Tiki bar in the last couple of years. It is definitely a sight to behold the third weekend of April during the annual opening. I call it Maryland Mardi gras! They accept CASH only but have a ATM on site. The drinks average 7-8 dollars. They make a great orange crush. The bar is just as its named a tiki hut. Open air bar with beach sand and sun chairs for relaxing. The view isn't much. Its across the street from their small boat dock on the bay side of the island. There is no food but the Sgt.s grill next door has great bar b que. If you just want to relax and hang out with friends this is the right place on a nice sunny day.

The design, the sand, the adirondack chairs and tiki statues make the Tiki Bar a very appealing stop. Sitting on the water side lets you see the boats and the town traffic - great people watching. The margaritas and mai tais are NOT frozen, and the free popcorn was stale and over-salted. Thus, if you're going for a beer -- the safe bet -- and people watching, you'll enjoy this place. If you're looking for a bartender who makes good drinks, avoid this place.

This place becomes crowded in April when it opens, cops are everywhere, it's a zoo, and is a cheap imitation of a good waterfront outdoor bar. The signature mai-tai is not even a real mai-tai, and expensive. Nothing good to say about this dive- it's for lemmings that have heard it's the place to go for a "Tiki" experience...

Expensive drinks and a somewhat indifferent staff left me wondering what all the hype was about. Yeah, you should visit the Tiki Bar when you go to Solomons just to check it out, but, once was enough for us.

During a recent visit to Solomons my 50 year old wife and her 58 year old husband (me) encountered their "card all" policy. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Either the management can't manage the staff or they have more business than they need. Will gladly spend my money elsewhere.

We went on opening weekend 2014, and it was everything we'd heard it would be. Strong drinks, friendly people, party time! It was still pretty cold out, but the place brought back memories of Spring Break in Cancun (if indeed we could remember Spring Break!). As we are now past the age of spring breaks, it didn't take us long to get our fill, but the few hours we spent were fun and we'd do it again.

If you like bars then stop for at least one when in Solomons. Drinks are expensive but strong so you get what you pay for. Beer is over priced and don't even think about getting wine. Have to check the place out. Better in day light hours. Never found it a rough place even in the evenings but after dark it can be like any bar with a bunch of meat heads getting drunk.

My husband and I came here for the big opening event on April 2013. Our daughter goes to college in Maryland and they wanted us to come. They told us that is a big thing for locals and people come from all over the US to party. We got a great hotel close enough to walk to the Tiki Bar, but it was still freezing cold there in April. They had shuttle services, but it cost $10 dollars round trip. For me, there's really nothing special about it. It's just people drinking from morning till bar closes. It's a hangout for mostly local people and tourist who wants to try new things. They have Reggae music all the way in the back, and if you are in the front of the bar you can't hear it at all. It was crazy of all the amount of people that came to party. It took 15 minutes or more just to order a drink at the bar. Some people ordered 2-3 drink each just because of the craziness, but by the time you get to your 2nd or 3rd drink, it'll be watered down, unless you you're an alcoholic and you can chug all drink in less than 30 minutes. They were some clubs and restaurant near by if you are tired of just drinking and chatting. They have dancing floor, but the club plays hard core rock music that was hard to dance to. After awhile my husband and I were over it. It was kind a boring for us, but we were happy to see our daughters. They wanted us to stay a little longer, but they were mostly hanging out with friends, it was just my husband and I most of the time. So, we decided to leave before 8pm because it started to get really cold. On our way to our hotel, it started to rain hard. It was crazy! We got soak, and freezing at the same time...just not a good experienced. I'm from California, bars and clubs are always have better party than the opening of Tiki Bar. The only good thing about our trip was we got to see and hangout with our daughters. Will I do it again? Probably not! I'll just have my daughters come to us, and I'll show them what a real party is like.

A yearly visit for most of us locals. Opens in April and the celebration begins. People from many states come to the event. Solomons Island is a perfect spot to visit and start your spring partying.
