If you have a pass and no other place to go this is a nice beach. The facilities have been upgraded (I use the term loosely - means they got a new portapotty). But the view can't be beat. It does get crowded and depending on tides/moons it can be a tough spot to find a good place to spread out.
Peggoty is a small beach that gets very crowded because its close to the harbor. Lots of parking and it now has outdoor showers. Need a Town of Scituate Beach Sticker to park in the lot, no ;arking on the side streets.
Great beach just over the bridge from Scituate harbor. Easy access and parking. Close to stores ,restaurants and main street for any needs you may have for your beaching enjoyment.
Small beach with lots of soft sand, rocks for kids to climb and go crabbing on. No bells and whistles here just a port a potty and an occassional visit from the ice cream truck. You can also rent paddle boards from a small stand in the parking lot. Only a few public parking spots need a beach sticker otherwise. Not the best beach for out-of-towners but I love it!
If you are visiting Scituate, you will need to go to the Town hall to obtain a visitor's pass to enjoy any of Scituate's beaches.
This is the worse beach in Scituate very dirty parking lot is always flooded, Tons of seaweed. Private end isn't as bad but very Rocky
Good place for a dip or to watch surfing off point. Parking is limited to locals but if you park downtown you can walk. I'm a local but people who are willing to walk usually are good people.
Sandy with good waves. Safe beach for children. Unfortunately, there is no parking in the beach parking lot without a town beach sticker, which means a fairly long walk from town parking. No bathhouse or concessions. Port-a-potty.
Sandy, good walking, lots of room to spread out. Watch the surfers year round. In summer, dog owners bring their dogs before 9 am for off leash socializing and swimming.
Easy access from parking lot, plenty of parking, flat and easy for kids and older folks
If you find yourself on the South Shore in Scituate, this isn't a bad summertime option. It's a good-sized beach for getting some sun. It's not the best for swimming, as the seaweed is pretty bad. Also, the parking is only for Scituate residents with a pass. Otherwise, you have to park about 3/4 mile away at a municipal lot. Dogs are allowed before 10am year-round.
