The Great American Songbook, "Frank and Ella" covered by SIobhan Magnus and Mark Maher was a lovely interlude. The Boston Swing Band set the tone for sweet, hot, sentimental, and bluesy music. Mark's impressions of the Rat Pack ..Sinatra, Dino, and Sammy Davis Jr seemed to relax him and should be earlier in the show. Siobhan's second half was also more relaxed and her passion for the music lit up the theatre. This old house is looking good, like many the seats could be more comfortable, but it was full of very happy customers.

Living in Beverly for 24 years, I had never heard of The Larcom Theater. My wife told me about a show of Broadway Songs, so we decided to go. The cast was small...a few people, but the program was great and a very intimate setting. It was a very entertaining evening.

So happy to see that this little jewel has been returned to it's once splendor. I remember going there as a child. We had tickets to see Lenny Clark and the show was great! Place is all redone but they have preserved some of the old charm. Seats are a little small, but balcony gives a great view. They have a lot of great entertainment scheduled for the coming year, we will definitely be back. Hard parking as it is on a side street, utilize the main street, Cabot Street.

We attended a matinee there in December and had to keep our winter coats on as it was VERY cold. Aside from that the seats re comfortable and the theater is suitable for multi purpose. Aside form the cold it is an attractive and comfortable venue. If you found this review helpful please indicate below. I appreciate this reminder from others

A wonderful old theater restored beautifully and presenting plays and entertainers. Saw "menopause the musical". Great performers! Going to see "Late Night Catechism" with our summer theater over for the winter after "Christmas Carol" is done it's wonderful to have live theater without going int Boston.

First off, the show was unbelievably fabulous and hilarious. The theatre was gorgeous, spotless and comfortable. It was built around 1912. The seats were good - not puny like those in the old Boston theaters so that was nice for a change - plenty of leg room. The layout was great. Everywhere seemed to be within a nice view of the stage. I happened to be LUCKY enough to have FRONT ROW SEATS -- I love that. You'd love the theatre. Beautiful architecture and a huge ballroom on the other side of the theatre which made me want to immediately start dancing. :-)

The Larcom Theater opened in 1912 (Like Fenway Park) and has had many uses over the years. It was restored several years ago for use by a resident magic company and is a faithful example of earlier theaters. It is currently scheduling an eclectic mix of live entertainment. We have seen a great New Orleans sound group and a fantastic Blues show and we have just dipped our toes into the available entertainment. Seats about 450 including a horseshoe balcony and has really good acoustics and sight lines. With soon to be granted liquor license, it will be a great place for live entertainment.
