This is a beautiful Theater with lots of character. The decorum on the inside reminds you of being in the twenties. This place also has a women's powder room adjoining the restroom which is very charming. The acoustics are good and they generally have good entertainment. This is a great place to get local culture as well as that from other regions. This is also a great place to introduce your children to the beauty of the stage and introduce them to different types of art.

Old remodeled theater with hand painted ceilings and walls. Can see the stage good from any location in the theater. Seats are old, narrow, with little leg room but surprisingly comfortable. Nice, large stage. Acoustics were excellent.

We are so lucky to have this treasure here in Ashland, Ky. We have been able to see so many artists and productions of broadway quality. The people who work at the Paramount are devoted to bringing the highest quality of productions to the Paramount.

Attended the IMEA Awards in October 2014, at the historic Paramount Theater. Seats were somewhat comfortable (but after 4 straight hours well, not so much). The leg room is not exactly ample, as you would expect in old theaters, gets cramped quickly and the space between seats is minimal at best so you'll be touching elbows with the people beside you.. Somewhat stuffy but again with a crowded theater you'll have this. Wood work and artwork on the walls and ceiling is beautiful. The stage was recently renovated. The old school sign and lights, along with the red carpet is something everyone should experience at least once. The old theaters are always fun to explore.

For Ashland 5 stars.. For bigger cities this would be a 2... So it's hard to judge.. Basic, old theater.. Seen better days, but functions on..

We were in Ashland for the weekend and drove by the Paramount Arts Center and saw the musical "Cats" was playing. We had never been to the Paramount so decided at the last minute to see if there were any tickets available. We were in luck and purchased seats in the upper section. The show was fantastic!!! Have to recommend everyone to visit the Paramount!

A restored movie theatre which is enjoyable to explore but the shows are consistent to big cities. You have a variety of music, all genres, broadway type shows as well as comedy acts. A place where there is something for everyone.

The Paramount Arts Center is a historical building that provides very high quality entertainment throughout the year in a small town venue. It is amazing the types of shows that have played at the Paramount Arts Center. You need to check out their website for the listing of current acts scheduled. You won't be disappointed.

The Paramount is one of only a handful of surviving theaters built by the company in the 1920s art deco style. The shows here are always top notch and every seat in the house offers an excellent view and acoustics. (I prefer to sit in the first few rows of the center balcony area). Get there early so you can gawk at the ceiling and wall panels. It's a smaller venue so it is intimate and offers a fantastic value over larger theaters in bigger towns. Parking is always close and the theatre is within walking distance to several downtown restaurants with bars for an after or before show meal and/or drink. We've seen orchestras, ballets, concerts, plays, musicals and attended all sorts of other events here. They are always very high quality and we have never left disappointed.

The Paramount has been restored to its original beauty and is the venue for an excellent variety of performances. If you are planning a trip to the Ashland KY area, try to catch a show, or at least stop in for a visit. It is a gem in our small town! No bad seats in the house, although we prefer main floor center seating.

I have seen concerts, movies and stage productions in this theater and the acoustics cannot be beat. There is not a bad seat in the house. The atmosphere is fantastic. The eclectic variety of acts this theaters draws appeals to everyone at one time or another.

I have attended several shows at this facility. Ricky Skaggs, Loretta Lynn, Charlie Daniels, Bill Cosby, etc. The best seating is the lower level and the front of the balcony. After the first 5 rows on the balcony the seating is not so good. I am 5'2" and did not enjoy the seating on the balcony level about 1/2 way back - couldn't see anything and could barely hear it. I tried the membership but found that I was just over paying and getting the same seats others who did not have a membership. The acts are very good; meet and greets are based on "fan club" memberships. The local big shots and the main sponsors get all the benefits and the special seating. The website does not always work so take the time to sort thru and make calls when necessary. I do not appreciate the high fees they charge for online purchases.

If you get a chance to see a show here, do it. The venue is almost worth the price of admission. My daughter works there and we see a lot of concerts there. One of the original theatres built for silent films by Paramount Pictures. Recently restored and upgraded to accomodate large touring productions but kep the original decor.

Best place for a show or concert. Beautiful and no bad seats. Clean & absolutely the best location, a real gem.

As an Ashland native, I might value this more than a jaded outsider, but it truly is an Art Deco gem. The entire community has come together to 1) preserve the architecture and heritage of the theater, and 2) build it into a world-class performing arts facility. I am consistently amazed by the quality and variety of nationally and internationally known acts that this venue attracts. In between "big shows" the Paramount hosts community events such as the annual "Festival of Trees" and country music showcases.Definitely check out a show if you are in town! You will be impressed!
