I went just recently. With my friends But I used to go all the time with my daughter. I had a pass then. My older son sometimes went. (The Manhattan one is nice too, went with my son and friends in the city) It's great for young children. They loose interest maybe in 3rd or 4th grade. But with the pass you go for a few hours or an hour and go homeInteractive exhibits

My 2 and 5 years old loved the museum. Toddler place, indoor climbing, sand area, building blocks, lots of things to push, move and explore. One of our favorite was the sound shower rooms. All in all recommend for everyone, especially if you get some discount on the entry.

The museum needed more to look at and discover. What they had was interesting, however the place felt like an emptied warehouse.

Have young children? Then plan a trip to the Long Island Children's museum. They will be entertained for hours and walk away learning something about science and the world around them. Almost every activity is a hands on learning experience

This museum is interesting. It consists of 2 floors with activities for the kids up to 13 years old.We had an enjoyable Winter day here and the plank construction area was cool as well as the communications room. No food is sold here so bring your own. It is a nice location where the Aviation museum is nearby and also the Fire museum. I think the pricing is okay. On leaving the museum you must figure out how to get to the Parkways as no signs exist telling you where to go (GPS might help) but we figured it out. It helps to look at a map of the area before going.

I was very disappointed after spending $12 each for me, my daughter and my husband. WAY overpriced! Almost every exhibit has something broken in it. There are a few exhibits that you're not even sure what the point is and there is no explanation. My daughter liked the bubble room and so did I (she's almost 3) but it happens to be the smallest exhibit there and always crowded. The toddler room is basically a playground and honestly, the playground in my neighborhood seemed like more fun for my daughter, but this was an alternative option for a cold January day. They call it the toddler room but there were some older, obnoxious and pushy kids in there bulldozing their way around the little ones. The sand pit (not sure what it's called)...pointless. My daughter stood there swooshing sand around a box because that's about all there was to do. Not sure how this place qualifies as a museum...more like an indoor playground and admission should be $5 MAX!

We took our grandson here and he had a wonderful time! So much to do. He especially liked the bubbles and taping his own radio spot in the communications section!mhreat day for you kids!

My family and I spent a lovely morning at the LICM recently. It was our second trip there but our first time to experience the outdoor play area. My kids really enjoyed playing in the water area and the garden and chairs and bench around it were great for the parents to relax and enjoy watching the kids. They easily spent 1-2 hours in the outdoor space before going indoors to check out the bubbles, the construction area, the sand area, and the climbing area. Definitely worth a stop if you have young kids.

You can easily spend a couple of hours here entertaining children. From the bubble area to the telephone area, to the music room, to the wood building room, to the toddler room, to the outside area, there is so much to do, especially if there is a show going on.

My two year old had so much fun at the museum. His favorite exhibits were the sand area and the music room. We went during the week and it wasn't that crowded. It was also very easy to navigate and there were plenty of activities to keep the little guy busy.

Our grandchildren loved the LI Railroad exhibit as well the water play area outside. The ability of the kids to act as TV announcers was also popular.

We have visited this museum several times. It's a fun place for kids to explore and learn. However on weekends it is very crowded and expect a wait to play with most exhibits. Many of the exhibits need repair or updating. The bubble making area always runs out of bubble liquid and no staff person seems to care. Their maintenance program needs to be improved.

great place for kids to discover and learn new things. One can spend the whole day ath the museum trying the different activities they have to offer.

We took our 8 year old grandson here yesterday, and while it is advertised to be for kids 1-12, it really is more appropriate for the younger ones. It also can get very crowded and hard for kids to experience all of the hands on exhibits. Some of the materials were either broken or did not work very well. Our grandson's favorite was the climbing apparatus! We were only there for an hour and a half, so we felt that it was very expensive for what you got.

Toddlers to almost teens will find something of interest in the open, accessible, friendly museum for children of all ages. EVERYTHING is hands-on from bubbles to blocks. Kids get to build, weigh, measure, explore and experience a multi level arena that is made just for them. They can explore tv and radio journalism, have tool experience building things or simply construct something out of building blocks. You can bring lunch and eat there, have a kid birthday party or just go for a few hours of fun. There are some, but not enough , places to sit and watch the kids as they climb through a safe, netted area or go from room to room on their own magical adventure. This is educational fun for every kid to enjoy.
