We attended a wedding reception here a few weeks ago. This place is pretty amazing, both as a winery and as a party venue. Although fairly new to being a place to host your party event, this place pretty much nailed it. The wine we sampled was out of this world... especially the Tempranillo.
I have been buying wine and attending their events for several years now. The wine is absolutely fabulous. My out of town friends are so impressed whenever I serve them wine from this winery. The owners Joe and Melanie are friendly and knowledgeable. I always take my guests to their winery for tasting. A most stop if you are visiting Boise.
Located in a re-purposed produce warehouse Cinder Wines has remodeled their tasting room space and along with Coiled Wines and Telaya wines are presenting a great urban chic wine experience. Located in Garden City Idaho just 10 minutes from Down Town Boise this place showcases world class wine produced in house with grapes from the Snake River AVA and beyond. We had time with all three winemakers and learned about the area soils and wines all disguised in a winery. Neat experience and great people. Well worth the trip off the beaten path to Garden City.
We had heard good things about Cinder Wines, including that they are some of the best that Idaho has to offer. So we had high expectations. Although Cinder had some very nice wines, we were so blown away by the wines offered next to them (Telaya Wine)…Cinder suffered a little by comparison. One of our favorite wines from Cinder was their Laissez-Faire red wine. It was a basic, everyday red table wine that was well-priced and very easy to sip. We bought several bottles. The tasting room is in a warehouse in Garden City (a neighborhood/area within Boise). It is shared by 3 wineries that seem to have a very friendly, cooperative, interactive relationship. Wine production takes place in the warehouse, too, so you can get a peek of wine being made as you wander around with your tasting glass. A very fun, casual experience where you also get a chance to chat with the winemakers themselves because they are the ones working their tasting counters. A highly recommended stop!
