Have been a customer here for 19 years. The front desk person has put my name down as a bad person who can not stay anymore because I got in a argument with them? She changed my rate at the last minute and yelled at me in front of other customers and threw a pen at me and now I can't return?!? Really!????? Bad business.

We have gone to the springs on several occasions but it has been dirty and not pleasant in the past. The bathrooms/changing rooms are way too small and it always feels icky. A child vomited in the pool on one occasion and they barely cleaned it before letting swimmers back in, they did not offer a refund or raincheck or even a pass to a cave or private tub to those of us who chose not to swim /soak in vomit. I understand they now have new owners and am very hopeful that things will get better. For the price I would not recommend it. There are many other hot springs in the state that are cleaner and nicer and less expensive.

I have been here several times. Whenever I'm within 100 miles, I beat feet to this hot spot.I have spent a few days in the sweet cabins, spent long hours soaking in the cave hot soaking tubs carved from stone, swam in the beautiful pool that is a greenhouse spa and wallowed with glee in the hot mud bath. Its all wonderful. If you've never tried the mud bath, give it a shot.I did it with my sister and we covered each others backs and unreachable places and slathered on the rest. Then we laid down on the chaise lounges in the area and let it all dry til it hardened.Then we showered and giggled with joy. Our skin never looked more beautiful and radiant.By the way, you can buy the mud in the gift shop upstairs to take home. I only wish I'd brought more back to Ohio! Its great stuff to use on your own, as well. The little town of Indian Springs is charming, with wonderful restaurants, little shops, bakery, live music, stone shop, etc. Deeply recommended. The museum was great and we even attended church at the very friendlyand eccentric Unity (I think) church. Just go have fun!

If you are looking for a fancy schmancy, new and shiny place you'll need to keep looking. But if you want a spa with many different options, this place is perfect!! As you enter you are greeted by a helpful and friendly employee - I didn't get her name. She patiently explained some of our options and encouraged us to look at the cave and pool. We decided to do the caves with HOT water stone 'tanks', the mud baths and the big outdoor covered pool. All three areas combined were only $41. By the time we'd done all three of these we were so relaxed!! Next time I want to try a facial and a massage.The only two somewhat negatives I have is that while you are in the mud bath area, you are on display to those walking by and that there is a shortage of places to put your stuff while you are at the pool. There are lockers as you enter which is good, but we went on a weekend and there were a lot of people at the pool. Virtually no place to set even a towel. The flip side of that is that there are AMAZING plants all around the pool area. HUGE ones. Feels like you are in Mexico. You owe it to yourself to give this a try. I was so content at the end of our time there!!

I recently spent a whole day relaxing at the Indian Hot Springs and have to say it was one of the most relaxing and honest spa experiences. If you are looking for movie set modern chic its not your kind of place but if you want to chill out in an amazing cave and soak away the stress.A perfect way to recover from an international flight and I have to say the price was really good. A days soaking in the caves, pool, mud room and a massage for less than I would usually pay for an hours massage alone in London.I would certainly plan my trips to Colorado around having a day to relax there again.

The main pool is a decent price for the day, and so close to Denver that it's perfect in a pinch when you just really need to soak in a big vat of hot water. It would also be an AWESOME stop if you were driving back down I-70 from a day of skiing and wanted to dip out of the traffic for an hour or two. The private baths were alright, but can only be rented 1 hour at a time. I was also disappointed that the cave baths were separated by gender. This meant that for my partner and I our only option away from the kiddos that hang out in the main pool was a 1 hour private bath (instead of being able to come and go from the caves all day). The rules are just kind of strange here. We wanted to be able to alternate napping/sleeping and hanging out in the water, so we opted for a room in the main lodge. These rooms DO NOT have showers (which we knew). It actually wasn't that big of a deal because you are in and out of the non-chlorinated hot water baths all day. The main reason that even though I had a great time in the pools all day, etc etc, but I can't muster up more than 3 stars is really because of the terrible quality of the hotel room. Not having a shower? No big deal. The completely dilapidated feel of the room, stained and incredibly dated carpets, non-sealing windows, etc? Not that great. I think there is a fine line between 'rustic' and wanting to preserve some of the obvious history of the lodge (which was pretty neat!) and just not wanting/not being able to spend a penny up standard updates and repairs. I will definitely be back, I just probably won't spend the extra $100 on the hotel next time.

Hotel is run down and the staff shows no interest in repairing anything. Shower head was broken and they said there was nothing they could do, didn't even try. Main pool is always overcrowded with people eating nachos in the water. Worst hot springs in Colorado, it is close to Denver though and this is probably why they think they can run their business the way they do.

They quoted me two beds for $120 at first. I said I will call back. Another lady quoted a higher price in same day. Well, next time make sure you record what you have heard because they will argue with you and no courtesy say, "I am sorry." Not even said its their faults.

Old run down dirty with old ratted shag carpet, small old mattresses. Oh and did I mention no showers in room? What a disgusting place!!! Please spread the word, do not stay here!! Checking in while drunk couples were in line to rent "private" baths by the hour!!! I'm here now in my own private HELL can't sleep in this dump!!

My girlfriend and I stayed here on our cross country road trip. I could also write a couple of pages on how horribly this place is but I have other issues. Read all the reviews because they are true. If you can handle disgusting then this is the place for you What is most upsetting is that I had left my black wrap behind in my room. It took me several phone calls and some threats before it showed up. Tessa the manager wanted me to send a prepaid box within a box and she would ship it back to me. I called her again and she agreed that if I gave her my credit card info she would go ahead and just ship it to me. Cutting out the box within the box. After a couple weeks, no package. Called again. Tessa said she shipped it to me on October 31st and the receipt for shipping was in the package. Couple more weeks no package and a new manager named Jill said oh yes Tessa just mentioned that to me and said my cape wasn't found. I told Jill what has happened and what Tessa had told me. Jill said she would talk to Tessa again and then call me back. No phone call and no return of my cape. It is bad enough that the place was gross, but they keep any items you may leave behind, even if you call and make arrangements to get your items back. I hope Tessa enjoys wearing my cape that my deceased grandmother gave me. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. BESIDES GETTING ILL AND INFECTIONS THEY WILL KEEP ANY BELONGINGS YOU MAY LEAVE BEHIND.

Stayed there for one night and it felt like traveling back to the past. The property is very dated and it looks just like the pictures you would found hanging on the hall way. It reminds you what it was like 50 years ago or even earlier. Anyway, my wife and I read the review online, so we are mentally prepared for the worst but it turns out okay. I guess it is because we have pictured all the bad things could happen from the reviews we had read. The room is small but efficient. Two chairs, one dresser, tiny half-bath and there is a TV (a cheap one from Walmart and picture was blurry and dim). The interesting part is the old-fashioned experience. Soak in old hot tub in underground cave was a unique experience. You will probably find much better maintained hot sprints around the country, but this one stays the same way through the years. The cave was really sketchy and you can find pictures of it if you googgle it. It looks exactly the same as the pictures. Sometimes I cannot stop wondering where the water come from since all hot water are poured via PVC pipes. Is it really coming from some hot spring somewhere from the property or a boiler somewhere? Try not think about how many have soaked in the same water if you want to keep peace in mind. The spa package include dining coupons to four local restaurants and we went to Smokin Yard's BBQ in Idaho Springs. I have to admit that the bbq there is really the best part of stay. Both food and service are great.

I give hefty points for unique properties because they deliver unique memories and can lead to some enhanced creativity. I was up there writing a chapter for one of my books and this I did indeed accomplish, so on that level it was a success. However, this place is not for everyone. It's supposed to be romantic but your chances of having reciprocal drive here is limited by the fact that its very funky and the girl will not feel comfortable in the bathroom or the bedroom unless of course she's coming in from a tent; than stay gold Pony Boy. But it was fine for me. I wanted some peace and quiet and to be able to think clearly and write and this worked out fine for me. I had one of the cabins by Soda Creek and the sound of the creek filled the sitting area, which helped, mellowed me out; and there is a kitchen with an excellent gas burner; and of course Safeway is 0.5 miles up the road. So I was also cooking up a storm. So I was in my element. But the other reason I was there was because of two old wrestling injuries and I wanted to try out the spa and soak in the mineral rich volcanic baths that flow under the mountain The spa was odd, as there was no receptionist so I walked around this old building that resembled a thin 19th century hospital until someone came and got me. After the message I was advised to check out the caves and the mineral baths and I did. So this is where this post takes a turn for the surreal; and I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around what happened next- so I go into the caves and I see that the different pools have different temperatures and I see an open pool at the end of the cave and I walk and go into the water- and its great- the water temperature is about 115 degrees and its very relaxing and I'm moving my shoulder and lower back and stretching using the handrails and then out of the corner of my eye I see something move on the wall about 10 feet away. And its this thing- some sort of creature and its thin and its sleeping on a very thin rock ledge, and its head is also elongated, and its (I guess) camouflaged there on the wall- (I did not see it, I walked right by it to get into the mineral pool). So as I'm looking at this thing (It looked like a long distance runner from central Africa; but with a freakishly elongated head) and it slowly lowers itself from the ledge in one smooth motion and slithers like a snake on the floor down the rock face and into the pool I'm soaking in- and he's under the water and gone without making any splash or ripples' and then his head slowly rose out of the water next to me and I split...I got right out of there...I’ve been shot at before and was not as terrified as I was at that moment. It was mental. So I just grabbed all my clothes and got out of there, and I was visually shaken and one of the managers followed me outside and was like "What's wrong" "Didn't you like the caves?" And I was like "Dude, what's with the vampire?" And he laughed because that was the best way to describe it; and he was like oh you want a private bath, not to go into the caves- some people practically live down there he says; and that's why it smells like the deepest recess of my gym bag- its not sweat- that's what a nest of vampires smells like. Anyway, another person posted about the garbage truck coming at seven in the morning and I took a picture of it...

We came here purely for the hot springs in the way to Breckenridge. The staff were lovely and let us walk around to look at the different pools. We'd chose a private indoor room and after about 10 mins I was feeling claustrophobic so we went back out to reception and they let us move to an outdoor spa. It was snowing outside and it was absolutely beautiful.

Great place to people watch! My husband and I went here for our 28th anniversary. Though there was a lot of partying, our room was surprisingly quiet! The desk clerks were very friendly. The breakfast was simple but adequate. You are NOT paying for a 5 star resort experience!! Our room was "stuck in the 80s" but it was clean. We are non smokers but there were ash trays ATTACHED to the building right outside our door. This helped that obnoxious smell seep into our room. Uck! The hot springs area was crowded (popular place for the locals!) and it was close to $50.00 for 2 people to rent a private bath for 1 HOUR! So! If you want a clean, simple room for not much money, this is your place. If you want upscale--go elsewhere!

Great mineral water and the caves were very hot. Clothes are optional in the caves and once you get over the naked shock it is extremely relaxing. The building is very large and old, not especially clean. It definitely doesn't have a spa like feeling to the place but water is good. Bring your own towel and just know that this is a very old place and enjoy it for what it is.
