Spent a few hours hiking the trails, very nice and quiet, not too crowded, a nice place for people who are use to the altitude
Love to walk and hike here. Many different trails that are easy to difficult. Great place to explore.
Beautiful scenery, and a good variety of trails. Can be a little steep at times, but definitely saw lots of families making the hike as well, so not too overwhelming. My only complaint was how crowded it can get on weekends. Go early or risk congested trails!
Nice trails, well marked, plenty of opportunity to see the beauty of the park. There were warning signs for Bears and Mountain Lions, so be aware -
Clean trails, brilliant scenery. A must for any local or travelling outdoor enthusiast!I did about 4 miles with my dog and we both felt it was great exercise and a fantasic excursion into nature.
Not too difficult but not easy as pie..... for us. We are in decent shape but live in low altitude so any hike can be a little breathy. This was fun it that you did a bit of climbing/walking up rocky areas giving us a little bit of a challenge and some nice views at the top.
This gem is convenient to downtown Evergreen, a little off Route 73. It has several trails amid trees and boulders. There are two easily reached summits of small peaks and they both command beautiful views of the Evergreen and Front Range area. A wonderful spot for dog walkers, bouldering and geocachers.
Nice hike, very accessible and family friendly. Peaceful spot, but can be more crowded on weekends. Climb to the peak is rewarded with a nice view of town.
Exceptionally well maintained trails are a great way to start or end the day. I pass by here everyday on my way to the rest of the world and feel fortunate to have such a remarkable park to play in. It can get very busy/crazy on the weekends with so many people in the parking lots that some have to park along a busy road (BE CAREFUL with kids/dogs/bikes!) so I recommend going during the week.
I enjoy the area, made a trip up to hike there, it was not crowded and there were other hiking areas near by. We parked close, walked for over an hour and saw the beautiful Evergreen area. Wild life near by, as well as flowers rocks and trees.
Aldefer/3 sisters park is a favorite. It is a great place for hiking, mountain biking, and even horseback riding. The trails range from easy to difficult. There are a variety of habitats to enjoy and the view from the top of the 'brother' is worth the hike. Get there early in the summer, this is a very popular park!
Many varied trails - peaceful and uncrowded in the snow - great views from the Brother. HIstoric structures. Evergreen Mountain a delightful loop with views at top. Lots of wildlife.
This is a nice place to take your low altitude friends for a hike. There is an easy and somewhat level trail that takes you thru Bluebird Meadow and around those huge boulders, giving you several Colorado landscapes in a short amount of time.... and the bluebirds are abundant.
The trails I have hiked in Alderfer/ Three Sisters are easy, but I live at 8500 feet and walk 2 miles every day and try to hike higher rises once a week just to keep my lungs strong and used to the altitude where I live. If there is something harder here, I haven't been. But it is a lovely place to hike, especially if you are from a lower altitude. Too many of the trails I have experienced are right next to a street and the car traffic can be annoying. But dogs are welcome on leash. Meyers Ranch in Conifer will wear you out and test your abilities on rocky trails, but can also be loud. If you are in Evergreen during the summer when the road to Mt Evans is open, by all means drive up there and take a trail. Many will challenge and provide an awesome views, but please check altitude change.
This park is behind a family members home and provides a wonderful set of hiking trails. There are four peaks to climb, each of the three sisters and "The Brother". It is accessible any time of the year and tails are well marked. The are great views and the only difficulty in climbing is if one is not altitude adjusted. Evergreen is a beautiful area in the front range and great for exploratory driving and hiking.
