Rad or Lake is a paradise within the city of Nashville. It has a great nature center and an even greater set of trails to walk and be one with nature. Springtime reveals a wealth of wildlife to encounter. Butt buster hill ( my name for it) is a great walk to work out the old gluteus!

Great hiking trails...I wish they would allow trail running on at least one, but you can still trail run when you get away from the crowds. Beautiful for being so close to downtown.

I grew up very near Radnor Lake and have enjoyed the state park for many many years. This is a natural haven in the suburbs of Nashville. There are well-maintained hiking trails (walking only, no running) and a road (you can run on the road) that goes through the park. The wildflowers in spring are gorgeous. The wildlife in all seasons is abundant. It's a very peaceful, gentle place for contemplation and to get in a brisk walk. There are rattlesnakes, so pay attention. The lake is beautiful and the visitor center has restrooms and exhibits about the park. I enjoy this area every time I come.

One of the greatest places to go for a stroll or do some semi-serious hiking. The lake is magnificent at all seasons.

A great place to walk, jog, bike and enjoy nature at it's best. See ducks, frogs, turtles, deer, birds and other wild life as you stroll. We even had an encounter with a 6 foot rattlesnake crossing peacefully across the parking lot.

Radnor Lake is locally known as an excellent bird watching spot. Paths around the lake are well maintained.

nice park around a lake. Nothing spectacular, but it is nice park to have in a big city. Mainly locals use it to do their walkings for exercise.

Great park because it is very scenic, with a manmade lake, hills, wildlife and it is in the heart of the city but it feels like "a whole different world." You forget the city part and just enjoy the wonderful trails. One drawback, not enough parking!

Radnor Lake is a great place to go if you want a hike or want to get away for a bit without driving far and I think every time I've been I've seen at least one deer. It can get very crowded on Saturdays and unless you are there early, your best best is to use the Granny White entrance.

Great walking trails, clean facilities, beautiful views, family friendly atmosphere. Can be hard to find parking on nice days.

It was really nice and peaceful here. There are a few different hiking trails that you can go on depending on your activity level. We walked along the lake and it was really nice and calming. And so close to downtown Nashville.

Lovely visitors center with clean restrooms and benches outside for changing footwear. A very helpful staff member, Angelina, answered our questions and gave us a new TN State Park Passport souvenir book. The ridge trail was beautiful and provided an aerobic workout. The only negative is there were so many people it was congested and as I am a slow hiker I had to step off the trail frequently to let others pass. All in all it was a good experience and I will probably go back to hike there again.

Many years ago when I had a long-distance relationship with a Vanderbilt student, I remember a magical visit to the place and always longed to go back. Over the last couple of years, I've been able to visit again during several seasons and love it just as much. Pick up a map at the Visitor's Center so you can decide how long a distance you want to walk, and make it a priority to walk all the way around the lake if you have time. You won't regret it! The parking can be crowded, but you can always find something as people are coming and going all the time.

Its like being in a post card. Gorgeous walk with great vistas, especially in the fall months. Great place if you just want to clear your head or for a family outing.

A real gem of a park in South Nashville with plenty of trails, silence and natural beauty. Mind the pesky beavers who seem to eat a lot of the trees for breakfast!
