Playground for the kids. Dog park area. Paved walking/running paths. And a turtle pond. This park gets a lot of use when the weather is good!

This park is great for families. Large playground space. Great walking and biking trail - you can either ride/walk the "track" type area or for a little more walk/bike the hill and go past the butterfly garden. Downside: the bathroom facilities are normally locked "after summer/season". This may have changed but the closest restroom is a gas station back off Walnut St.There is also now a fenced in dog park area. If dogs are outside this area they are to be on leashes most of the dog owners are good about this. More of an FYI for anyone with small children that might get scared if they hear or see dogs barking. It looks like a great area for the dogs to play.

The walking trails are my favorite part, but, they do have some really awesome playgrounds. It's always clean and seems to be well taken care of. I like to watch the dogs play in the dog park. Very cool. We go here all the time!

a great place for the family to go for a picnic and for the kids to play a nice walking trail and you can take your bike on it not a lot of big trees for shade but they are growing.

Perfect for walking or jogging especially if you have children. There is a playground so if you only want to walk or jog that area you can still see your kids. There are other trails farther out. Make sure you stop off at the pond to feed the resident turtles! Also, don't miss the unpaved foot trails that go around the park in the wooded area. They keep these trails mowed but if you don't know they are there you can easily miss them. Just make sure you keep going up the hill past the pond until it turns into a dirt path...keep going to explore the many hidden areas. We've been going there for years and it has always been safe! It is also a great place to see lots of wild life, birds, etc. Part of it is even a butterfly and bird sanctuary! Lots of wild blackberries in the summer!

Awesome walking trails, perfect playground for kids. Not a ton of shade, but beautiful views and nice bathrooms.

Beautiful views, great walking trails, plenty of parking and wide open spaces! Also a playground for kids and a basketball court.

This park is nestled a the base of the mountains on the eastern edge of Johnson City Ten. They have a few playgrounds near the entrance of the park which were in good repair both times I visited in 7/2012 and 12/2013. The park has a small pond and tons of open grassy areas and paved trails with beautiful views of the mountain. The open areas are sweltering in the afternoon sun in the summer, including the playground but in the winter, it made for a perfect day in the sun. There are some wooded trails on the perimeter of the park as well. The park also boasts an enclosed dog park that was not fancy but the area seemed clean and well maintained. Only drawbacks would be not enough points of interests (playgrounds, fountains, fitness stops/equip, benches, statues, pavilions, etc) among the large expanse of the back of the park where all the paved trails wind through. I feel they could do something more with this open space (which could use some shadier areas too, but some planted trees still look young).

We recently moved from an area that doesn't have a dog park close by. We not only found this 10 out of 10 park but a 10 out of 10 private dog park.We are so relieved to find such a well maintained area for out four legged family member.Thank you for making our dog happy.Chuck and Lisa Miller

Average size playground that has 3 separate areas based on size/age of child. Basketball, volleyball, paved trail, nature trail, pond habitat, open field area.

We stopped going to Willow when their playground started looking ratty! We haven't been in a few months but last time we went their playground had been broken for over a year. They do have a wonderful walking trail.. basketball courts.. volleyball.. etc. It's a great place to spend a lazy Saturday!

I used to live within a mile of the park and spent a lot of time here running. My kids could play on the playground, throw frisbees, ride bikes or play soccer. There is a great dog park, too! Convenient location to town with incredible views of the mountain...very nice. There is a fee for dog park membership.

Willow Springs Park is a safe, family-friendly park that is a real treasure! The paved trails (with some unpaved that go through the woods, make for great walking and the scenery is unbeatable! The walking path is fairly flat, but with enough climb to make it a gentle workout. The playground is great for the little ones. All in all it doesn't get much better than this!

There are special activities for your children; solitude for you on the walking paths, or fun for you canine in the dog park area.

Willow Springs is a great place to have a picnic, take a walk, let the kids play and even the dogs.With a great view of Buffalo mountain, it's a wonderful place to throw a blanket down and have a picnic. There is a great play ground for the kids. And the walking trails are great.They also have a place for Fido to play too.
