I have been skiing Schweitzer since I was 14 & i am now 55. We have had to suck up a very bad year, as you all know. I have supported the Mountain all of my adult life. I retired from the Army in 2011 & moved back to Sandpoint, as this is where I grew up. I am hoping to continue to support the mountain in the Future. Here is my problem. I am a season Pass holder, Sunday- Friday. The cost of the 2015-2016 season pass is the same price that I paid last year. You folks sent us a letter asking us to continue our support. In your letter, you stated that the Season Pass Holders consist of 60+% of sales, However you have been offering discounts on tickets almost the whole year due to weather conditions. Where is our Discount. I understand that buying a pass in May, July, or November is a gamble. All the other resorts are offering great discounts. You should consider offering us a break!! Thank You, William Jewsbury, US Army Retired, (360) 921-0052

Schweitzer doesn't get much press and is often not thought of when you think of skiing in Idaho but it's definitely the best resort, besting Sun Valley and Bogus. The terrain is massive and challenging. Lift capacity is awesome, including the Stella 6 person chair. Base facilities provide everything a skier could need. They normal get terrific snow but this year has been a real exception. :( The locals are super friendly. Especially the old timers that hang out near the cafeteria before opening on weekdays. Real character right thar! Something for all types of rider here!

Very picturesque setting, looking over Sand Point ID. Snowboarded here for 2 days. Loved every minute of it. The snow coverage was ok, but the locals say Feb and March are the best months. Easy to drive to; and, good parking options. We enjoyed the great quality rentals and service. Lots of runs, especially on the backside of the mountain. Very nice restraunt options there too.We will be back for more fun next year...soon :)

Definitely the place to go for quiet relaxing – before the snow-sports-avalanche begins! The Selkirk Lodge is very new and beautifully decorated. There are many amenities including enclosed garage parking, work-out room, nearby shops and restaurants with NO waiting in line. Mid-November is really a sleepy time for the resort and discounted accordingly. Trouble is, curfew is 7pm, not really, but everyone else is home in bed early getting ready for Ski Season. It’s OK because you have an off-season, Bob-Marley-agenda – it’s called, “don’t worry – be happy.”

This is a great winter time resort but an interesting attraction in the summer also. The chairlift is a great ride to the top of the mountain. We even saw a large patch of snow on top. The view is spectacular looking down at the lake. It's a whole new perspective from the snowy winter view.

If you have kids, there are many things for them to do in the summer: zip line, rock wall climbing, horseback riding, hiking. Mountain bikers will be in heaven.

We loved the resort. It wasn't too commercialized, and yet there was so much to do. The ski lift to the top was amazing, and the staff were all so helpful. LOVED the zipline. I can't wait to go back!

Looks nice but home are all pushed together. Seems as if the place is set to just get your money with out giving you any real comfort. Silver Mtn. is must nicer if you are going to spend the money.

Schweitzer mountain resort is a great mountain with a broad range of terrain and very accommodating staff. Annual snowfall is over 300" and the weather has been fantastic this weather with many sunny days on the slopes.

This place has everything...except the crowds. Wonderfully groomed mountain, with extensive runs for a wide variety of skills and activities. Lovely lodging. Wine bar! The best part, though, is the stunning view of Lake Pend Oreille...there is no mountain in the country that can offer such sweeping views and beauty. World class everything without the crowds.

I know you guys are having a lousy season with the snow and all but with all the hype I expected something more than this. While the pitch of the slopes was great, loved your black runs, the snow quality was ... well ... it was like spring skiing in Australia ... crusty wet sugar ... and as I said at the start, it's a lousy season but the real killer for me was the FOG!!!! Apparently it's there a lot of the time, which means that only 1/2 the mountain is great to ski on, which all of a sudden means there's only limited terrain. But I guess if you want to get balanced on your skis this is a great place to do it.

Views are beautiful when the air is clear. Facilities are basic. Prices are high for many things, but reasonable for some others. If you can work the specials you can increase your value from this place.

That's the word at our mountain, the largest ski area in Idaho. That's where I spent The holidays this year. And didn't even ski until after New Years. It's a warm, friendly place. It's hard to get there, and you have to ski in fog, and on ice, and in deep powder , and Selkirk cement (otherwise known as crud). But on a good day it's probably the best skiing on the planet, and even on an average day it has the best views of any ski area in America. Usually we go snowshoeing on New Year's Eve, but this year it was a progressive dinner party. At peoples ' condos.

Schweitzer Mountain has such a beautiful setting... it almost doesn't seem real! Once you are off the chairlift at the top of the mountain, the view of the lake, community of Sandpoint and surrounding mountains is breathtaking. The terrain offers abundant choices for every level of skier. This makes for a great family mountain. The trails and the businesses are well maintained and managed, the lift operators and ski patrol are the friendliest we have experienced, and there are several options for restaurants in the village. Our favorite is Taps in the main lodge. They have an extensive beer selection, tasty drink specials and meal options, and live music on weekend afternoons. This is great environment for the locals and the visitors to mingle and tell stories about the best ride of the day.Be sure to stop in at the Wang Shack at the top of the quad chairlift to warm up with nice beer and spirits selections. If it is a sunny day, make a snow chair and enjoy a beverage and the amazing view!Overall... awesome skiing, friendly service, and a winter paradise!

Schweitzer Mountain Resort is nestled in a beautiful Northern Idaho mountain range and boasts the most amazing skiing and snowboarding. Great food, wonderful rooms/ condos, plenty of extra activities and did I mention, "Great Skiing?"
