We went in for a beer before dinner and ended up staying for the evening. They had a local band Pushing Chain playing and I loved the live music, so we ended up sticking around, ordering in take out from a local restaurant. The bartenders helpfully supplied a stack of menus of local restaurants that delivered to their taproom. My husband said the beer was great, he did a sampler and enjoyed them all. We took advantage of their supply of games and hung out for the evening. A great way to pass a winter night in Two Harbors!

Good selection of beers; perfect with the 'special' pizza ordered from Do North Pizza (just down the street and they deliver) after ten miles of hiking the Lake Superior Hiking trail. There's a nice variety of board games. Although I got beat at cribbage, the Danger Ale helped to ease my pain.

I love my ales, and the ales at Castle Danger do not disappoint. The employees are very nice, and professional. My wife and I split 2 beer flights so we could try them all. This was a great decision. We loved 5 of 7.

Castle Danger is a great stop in Two Harbors, highly recommend. We dropped in around 6pm on a Saturday, a good amount of visitors but still low-key. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff with a fun clientele. I think 5 or 6 options right now, but big expansion on the horizon it sounds like... we ordered a few flights--generous sized glasses, great priced growlers ($11). Try the cream ale!

We followed the tips in other reviews and picked up a (delicious) pizza from Do North Pizzeria and brought it in to the brewery. My husband and I shared a flight of tasty beers while our daughter enjoyed their yummy root beer. Service was good and some cool beer glasses are for sale behind the counter. Enjoyed the experience and beer very much! We'll be back! Looking forward to when their beer is available in the Twin Cities.

We popped in before dinner. Welcoming friendly fairly busy . You can choose your own flight or order half and full pints. We liked everything but the stout. They offered a tour while we were there but we needed to go to dinner. You can bring in a pizza it sandwiches but no food is served.

Great brewery and great beers! We tasted all of the beers they had and each one was phenomenal. We stopped there twice in our short weekend visit to get more of their great beer. It is a must stop when in Two Harbors! I hope their beer will be distributed in the Twin Cities soon. Bring in a pizza from Do North or order delivery once there and make it a dinner stop.

Good beer, bad service. We went here on a Friday evening. The bar was full so we sat at a high top as did two other groups who came in right after us. While the three barkeeps looked our way we were never greeted with so much as a nod. No one ever waited on us, and the bar was so crowded we couldn't get to the bar to order our beers. Finally, some folks left the bar and all of us at the high tops made our way to the end of the bar to order our beers. We were still ignored, the bar keeps being engaged in conversation with other folks - not waiting on them, just visiting. Finally, we hollered at them. They seemed surprised that we were there and wanted beer. However, twice when the barkeeps' friends came into the place, they went out around the bar to greet them and bring them beers immediately. Meanwhile, the rest of us are left standing at the bar trying to get beer. So first, Castel Danger, take care of your customers. Second, offer a sampler board of the beers you serve - not just a one swallow taste. That's why people come here, to try the beer. Duh! Third, although CD brews a wide variety of beers, the evening we were there the only beers offered were three pale ales and two amber ales. Mix it up a little ! Again, duh! Fourth, make it clear that patrons are welcome to bring in food to eat. CD doesn't serve food, but lots of folks brought in pizzas from down the street. This would have been nice to know before we ordered our beers. We also would have stayed longer and bought more beer. And yet again, duh! And finally, get the female barkeep's long black hair out of the clean glasses and beer! Will I give them a second chance? Perhaps. The crème ale was pretty good!

We really enjoyed watching the Geese sail by as we enjoyed excellent brew at this spacious watering hole. Ordered out Pizza from nearby DO North Pizza to help us enjoy the Brews. Gorgeous wood tables encourage individuals, couples and groups to mix. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. A great spot, must see in Two Harbors!

While visiting family, we visited this quaint little brewery. The staff were great and very helpful. We decided to go for the 17-7 Pale Ale. We then moved on to the Castle Cream Ale. Thanks Clint and Jamie for the outstanding customer service and "special" sample. This reminded me of an Orkney Dark Island Reserve beer I had the opportunity to taste in Scotland. I look forward to visiting again. Definitely recommended!

Went to the grand opening in Two Harbors and was a little disappointed. 5 or 6 unhappy bartenders struggling to keep up with only slightly busy bar, long wait, first glass had sharp and jagged lip,no samples, nothing to so say Welcome to our New Brewery we are thankful for your business! I wish these folks the best of luck and I hope everyone didn't feel as disappointed as we did.

My favorite is the Pale Ale - it is refreshing, especially with fish or a burger and has just the right amount of bite!
