This is a fun place to see a movie. Granted, there is no AC system, but they set up fans, which keep the inside acceptable. Enter from the Main Street on the river side, or go up around to the front, the difference a flight of stairs from the south, Rest Rooms at the base of the stairs. Purchase your tickets and Snacks/Beverages at the same counter. Silent Movies are shown on a somewhat regular basis, a fun way to spend an afternoon. The Summer of 2014 there have been a number of Silent Movies, offered free, because the operator want the movies to be enjoyed in the presence of a packed hall, music for the movies has been as was originally. Back in the day there were no music scripts for the movies, the musician(s) would watch the movie and improvise, using their music to enhance the experience. The last of the Silent Movie Celebration will be Sunday, August 31st starting at 4:30 PM, a Triple Feature is scheduled with: Thunder the Dog, Leader the Dog, and Rex the Wonder Horse each strain g in their own movie.

Love this old building, built in the late 1880s. There are two theaters, one very large, the second quite small and intimate. There are always two interesting movies playing, sometimes indie films, other times major releases. The also show old movies on Saturdays later afternoon, and silent movies on Sunday evenings accompanied by organ. Tickets prices are inexpensive and so are the concessions. You need to go here!

The Wilton Town Hall Theater is a town institution. Everybody loves to pile into the theaters fitted into an old town hall in the charming town of Wilton NH. The owner is beloved, and people even pitched in to help him buy digital equipment for his theaters so he could continue to show movies that no long appear on reels. It's comfortable, cozy, hospitable, friendly and unique. Don't miss it!

I love seeing movies at this theater. The popcorn is GREAT and the prices are reasonable. Good selection of movies.

Don't miss going to this movie theater if you like artsy movies, documentaries and foreign movies....They are picked with extreme care and we in Southern New Hampshire are fortunate to have this theater....with the Roam Cafe for dinner across the street.

The Wilton Town Hall Theatre is unique. You feel like you have stepped back in time. Dennis, the owner, does a great job booking a wide range of movie selections - some block busters, others having merit if not being huge financial successes. A great activity for out-of-town visitors.

Went to this old theater last night and felt like I was set back into the 1940s. Just a good old fashioned theater from back in the day. Food is cheap. Buttered popcorn was addictive. That's a warning if you are a popcorn lover. So yummy. Make sure to get it!!! If you are into a good sound system like Dolby Digital--you won't get it here. Haha. It's really like the old days. Good times!!!

Upon entering the theatre you begin to feel the local history as you are required to climb the massive winding staircase that ascends to the second floor theaters. The slightly bowed center of each stair tread shows the wear and tear of countless moviegoers making their way to the ticket counter at the top. No glass front dividers separate you from the ticket seller immediately giving you a sense of intimacy with the rustic surroundings. Take 1 giant step to your right and you'll be in line for the fresh popcorn and handmade lemonade! Once inside the theatre you'll be please to see that there is huge legroom for even the tallest of patrons and seats that provide comfort and support. Be sure to take in the elevated stage, 20' burgundy velvet curtains and recall the days you spent in your hometown at the recitals and plays of your childhood. The theater is locally owned, reasonable priced and is an anchor to the local community by a generous owner that often offers free classic movies. For those requiring a more accessible entry, try the upper entrance off of Main St.

Ok so the chairs in the one room are not very comfy, but the popcorn and fresh lemonade could have me here every weekend. It is a renovated old town hall and it is delightful. No video games here just piping hot popcorn with real butter if you request. A gem.

If you are a movie lover than this is the place for you. The setting and atmosphere is amazing. The prices are cheap. The movie selections are great and always changing. If you want to get away from the big mainstream Cinemagics and Imax theater and still see anything from this years indie - hit or even the occasional big blockbuster then you need to check out the Wilton Town Hall Theater! Its like a flashback to the vintage past the way movies in a theater were meant to be watched!

This place is an OMG situation, there is the big room, which is comfortable and a connection to the way back past, but, the technical stuff if current. Also, they have the screening room, and good popcorn, great parking, and friendly service. All that is great, if you then consider and include the silent movies, well you would understand that anyone who celebrates "Movies" either needs to celebrate this operation or ad it that they really do not understand "Movies". So then, look forward to the experience when they bring in a live band to accent a silent movie. Over the top! Unless you hate movies.

First of all, it really is in the town hall building over the police station. Lots of leg room, low prices, and real butter on the popcorn. If you're lucky, they will be showing a Three Stooges short before the feature film! This place is not your kids' multi-plex.

This theater shows movies on the second floor of an old town hall. There are two "theaters." In the bigger one, you sit in comfortable seats with lots of room between the rows. The floors are wooden as is the old stage. Heavy curtains open to a screen hanging from the ceiling and the movie starts. No bad seat in the place. Drinks, snacks, entrance fees are a bargain. One dollar for a can of soda or seltzer. Seniors only pay five dollars for a movie. The other "theater" is not as spacious. The room is smaller and narrower rows between the seats. The handicap entry is from the road in the rear of the building where there is handicap parking as well.

A movie theatre like the old days. Creaky stairs, popcorn smell, no neon or glitz. Just good quality films, many are indies,

Wilton Town Hall Theater is a local treasure. First run movies on two screens. Ticket prices are under $10 and at least three feet of legroom between seats! Popcorn refills, clean. Great movie theater in this historic theater.
