and full of historic significance in the Old Mesilla / New Mexico area.A great gift shop that has a room with artifacts and pictures depicting how the church came to be in its present condition. The interior if the church is spectacular with its brick walls, wood beams and ceiling and an alter area that must be seen.We attended the Saturday evening church service and enjoyed how Father put an appropriate amount of inflection in his service mixed with English and Latin.

It is a beautiful old church. A wonderful place to visit and to see the beautiful decorations. When in old Mesilla Village this is a Must Visit

Beauty, Beauty, Beauty... Historic, Historic, Historic... Very popular wedding venue in the state of NM. Photographing this treasure never disappoints. Active church services, also, for those who wish to attend. Bring your camera to Old Mesilla for lots photo ops.

Can't rate the inside because it's closed for renovations, but the exterior is lovely. Right on the Plaza facing the historic Gazebo, Hopefully it will be open by the time of our next trip

If not else, the church draws you to the Old Mesilla Plaza which is a must see in Las Cruces. The story of the church and the veterans memorial in front of it are both worth a look-see.

This church never fails to impress me. Beautifully appointed, the church is well maintained with an active community. It's a definite must-see.

In 2013 when my wife's sister died, we could not get back to Midwest. The people at San Albino allowed us to be in the church at the same time the funeral service was being held back home. A beautiful place that has become sacred for us.

An amazing landmark in Old Mesilla. The mass schedule on Christmas Eve makes for a packed house but it was just beautiful to be there.

On Historic Old Mesilla Plaza...beautiful...after mass you can go to Josaphina's, La Posta, Cafe de Mesilla, or on Sunday, brunch at the Double Eagle. Sheer heaven...

While we waited for the village shops to open, we admired the exterior of the church. I am not too much into churches, though I am frequently curious about Catholic churches' interiors, especially old ones. My companion was directed to the church office by the gardener outside, and she returned with the church assistant who graciously opened the church, which was very beautiful.

I got to admire the outside of this church during the afternoon we spent in Old Mesilla. It's a pretty church, and fits in so well with the surroundings of the plaza and quaint shops.I didn't go inside, but walked in the courtyard. There's a very picturesque statue in front of the church. The side yard has memorial stones along a walkway.

Went to a wedding here. The church was lovely, the seats were comfortable and it had air conditioning, which none of us out of towners were expecting. It had an Hispanic flair which you would expect. The outside looked like the Alamo! The priest came out to the congregation to speak with us prior to the service. He was very friendly. The church is located in Old Mesilla Village which is a nice block around which to walk.

Went here for a wedding last month and was pleasantly surprised that this very old church was air conditioned. The celebrant came out prior to the wedding service to speak with the congregation asking the out of staters where they from and making small talk and getting acquainted. Very nice. The church was lovely and the pews were comfortable. Nice place for a wedding

Based on other TA reviews, I stopped here in the morning after my one night stay in Las Cruces before continuing my road trip. Even when passing through a place, I try to see something in the area - even if briefly. I arrived around 9am on a weekday and nothing in the plaza was open yet. I'd love to go back to sample the stores and restaurants, it did allow for ease in taking some lovely pics without having to dodge people and cars. I'd say Old Mesilla is worth a stop- even if brief and certainly check out San Albino Church.

This is a gorgeous building, worth seeing while in the area. It is not of the same vintage as the other 1850s buildings surrounding Mesilla Plaza, dating instead from the early 20th century, but the adobe style is authentic and the building fits right in.
