Hurst does an excellent job of maintaining its parks and open spaces. Chisholm has something for everybody in the family. It is the only TPW Neighborhood Fishing holes in the area and is regularly stocked with fish year round. There is plenty of open space with picnic tables and the swim center is massive (and about to be renovated I'm told). Also a nice running/walking trail. VERY nice park.

good parking has a waterpark but we were there for a cook out and picnic with church family. the grounds are well kept and quiet comfortable paths for a stroll well shaded and an incredible view surrounded by nature yards from the street great place for families and church picnics

The grounds are vast, there's a pond with ducks and people fish there all the time, some species are catch and release some aren't you can feed the ducks (if they're hungry). There's a bike trail and a water park (swimming pools and slides, kiddie pool and snacks) gazebos for picnics, plenty of parking. Open from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.

I have been enjoying this park since I was a kid. I don't live in the area anymore, but when we visit family, we always have a picnic. Great swimming pool, lovely little lake, lots of picnic tables in the shade. I love this park!

My kids grew up within walking distance of Chisholm park, and this 80 acre facility is truly a hidden gem in Hurst. At the far end it has baseball fields, basketball courts and a water park for kids, while at the entry side of the park is a beautiful playground area, a fabulous duck pond, and great shaded picnic areas. Also located at Chisholm are several large covered cabana areas that can be used for family gatherings and social get-together's. For my wife and I, it's a great place to take our grandson to swim and play at the small water park; and a great place to walk our dog since sidewalks are on the outer perimeter of the park with several that cut through the middle. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the out-of-doors for just a walk or an entire afternoon, this is definitely the place to come.

This is a great place to have a picnic. Lots of large trees and many picnic tables. A nice pond adds to the atmosphere. Playground for kids and restrooms available. Convenient location.

My family played in the playground while I jogged around the park. It was a peaceful jog, approx. 1-mile per lap, 1/3 shaded by big trees, rest is open.
