leppien city park

This little park has always caught my eye as I have driven past it for years along M-46. I took my lunch and a book and finally visited this park on a Friday afternoon. I had the place to myself! It has one small picnic shelter, with several other tables scattered around the grounds. Nice play equipment. There are fishing docks on the Pine River. This park is very well maintained, with nice grass and some old, tall shade trees. It is pretty quiet despite being near M-46. Easy access; gravel parking lot. No restrooms, however. Lovely views!
