It is a GREAT place to bring the family for a day of fun ... Our family had a blast racing each other in the go carts ... We will definately return.. Thanks
We really enjoy our visits to Elmer's. Been going up to Saint Germain, WI. on/off for 15 yrs now. Elmer's is always a stop for at least a day, often two. Go carts are awesome and horse back riding enjoyable.
My husband, I, and our four kids were vacationing nearby with my parents, sisters' and their families. We had a total of 5 adults and 9 kids that came go-karting. The kids ages were from 2-18. You have to be 16 years old to drive with a passenger. We had enough people to pair up all of the kids with an adult, but there were not enough double carts for us all to ride together. That was a bummer, but we did have a large group. We found the prices to be reasonable. We rode two of the tracks, and they were both fun. Although, I don't understand why some of the go-karts go slower than the others. I understand that the doubles usually go slower than the single karts in general, but some differences in speed among all the karts was very obvious. It was disappointing when you got the slow kart. When everyone is passing you, it isn't as much fun. However, all the kids had a GREAT time, and that is all that really matters! We will be back next year too.
Super fun! GREAT Go-Kart tracks. A nice touch that the horses are available for viewing / petting from the horseback trails nearby. Would definately return.
My 10 year old and I did the half hour horseback ride. Very reasonably priced (I think $20 for me, slightly less for her). Our guide was very talkative and informative. We had well-behaved and well-cared for horses. They open at 10 am every day and our guide suggested doing what we did, get there at opening. The horses are energetic and not hungry like they are at the end of the day.My husband, son, father and brother did go-karts and bumper boats while we rode horses. They had a blast.
Great little place to entertain our 9 year old for a couple of hours, although nothing for the 2 year old which was a bummer. As the other reviews doubtless noted, Elmer's consists of 3 go-kart tracks, the horse ride attraction, and bumper boats (which we did not try, but there were whoops aplenty coming from that area). Our 9 year old went on the 30 min horse trail experience on her own and loved it, wanting to do it again right off the bat. The stables were clean and the horses all seemed healthy and happy (they got decent breaks in between rides). All the staff we encountered were nice and helpful. It was $16 for the 30 minute horse ride, per person - I think it's pretty good value for something you don't do too often (or ever in my case). The go-karts were popular but we didn't have a long wait. Ironically, the same 9 year old who took happily to the trails on a horse got cold feet for the karts so my wife used her ticket and had a blast flying solo around the track at full speed, over taking some of the slow pokes. I imagine it's enormous fun to get in to a race with someone. We spent about 2-3 hours at Elmers and would definitely go back.
Great fun with 3 go cart tracks but it cost about $5 per person per ride on the go carts and that was with a bulk purchase discount .
Took my son to Elmer's on Sunday. He did 2 of the race tracks. He had a BLAST!!!!! My only thing is I wish they had a cheaper price for kids under 12. But.....it really was worth it to see him having a blast. Next time I think we are going to go horseback riding.
Elmer's is a great place to take the family! Lots of fun things to do there from go carting, to horse back riding to bumper boats and more! Lots of family memories have been made at Elmer's!
Our Family visited Elmer's Fun Park for the first time in August. I must be honest and state that the go kart tracks are awesome and well taken care for, more than I expected!!. Our kids (5 & 8) just fell in love with the go karts. Since they were not big enough to ride on their own, the wife and I had to drive them around in the 2-seat karts, which was a blast for all of us. The cost per ride was a little pricey, but it turned out to be well worth it based on the enjoyment the kids got out of it. Unfortunately, the horse riding closed at 5 pm, which was when we arrived. I do wish they would have told me that when I called them earlier that day to get the hours for the park. Great place to spend a couple hours and we will be back again!!
Was in the area for a festival and on the way out of town, decided to stop here for my youngster to have a spin around the track. Compared to some of the go cart tracks in the Dells, this was the Indy 500!For the price, the number of laps around the track were surprisingly long - definitely felt like we got our money's worth here. As mentioned in other reviews, there are 3 tracks to choose from with various degrees of challenge...and fun. There are track spotters throughout the race course to ensure a safe experience for all riders (and yes...that's my boy sideways on the track). Ooops!!!Did not get to enjoy the other attractions of the Fun Park but I'm sure they all come with their own smiles.
We did the 45 minute horseback trail, and it was very fun. Nice trail through the woods and the guide was especially friendly. Horses were great, even the 7 year old was able to handle one of them. Prices weren't that bad I didn't think-$20 pp. Definitely worthwhile.
I can only speak of the go carting here, and we love it! There are three or four tracks to choose from, including one levelled bargain track. If you have to ride in a double cart (father and daughter) you are only charged for one. The only downside is that they do not accept credit/debit cards. There is an ATM available, but avoid fees...bring cash.
Horse back ridng was lovely but the trail was a bit dusty.Go Carts were fun bu the ride was a little bumpy than other go- carts that I have been on.
The go-karts were great. However my family of four spent 80.00 and a year waiting to go horseback riding. Our guide ruined our whole experience. She constantly yelled at us but worse than that she made very innappropriate comments. One example was telling my husband when his horse was lagging a little.... to hit it like like he would hit his stepdaughter! Thats BS! I called to talk to someone the next day and they said oh she was joking. I dont find that funny and neither did my daughters! She was mean on everything she said. I did'nt ask for anything and they pretty much blew me off. Sucks when you save up for awhile to be able to do something fun and this happens
