I live near by. Great space for walking, being in nature. Fun events and farmer's market in the summer. Love the formal gardens and landscaping. Nice sculptural art throughout. Very dog friendly, well maintained. Can't be beat in the area. Haven't used the club house. Have used the driving range. Overall, nice place to visit.
A great expense and the club house is falling apart already. Never any parking; I understand that the golf course still smells like the garbage dump; just a large burden to the taxpayers.
A great place to go for a walk alone or with friends, relax, read or think. One of the hidden treasures of Munster.
The Centennial Park is a beautiful park to bring your family to visit. They have a nice size playground, picnic tables with shelters and electricity and a man-made pond that you can walk around. Sometimes in the summer, they have concerts in the park to enjoy good music. There is even a separate park just for dogs that you can take your dog to enjoy the area utilizing different items on their specially designed obstacle course (there is a fee for this area for Munster residents). There is also a Farmer's Market held there on Sundays, so that you can pick up some locally grown fresh vegetables and fruit.Centennial Park is a great place to take your family for a day at the park.
This old dump is now a pretty park with a lake, fields and big building with banquet halls. The building is really nice, and would be a great place for any function.
Centennial Park is a great place to go and relax in the middle of suburbia. It is a beautiful, natural scene.

"Centennial Park" is one of Munster Indiana's most underrated hidden Treasures. But for those like me who knows the history? I can truly say, "I've found King Solomon's mines!" Let me explain why? "Centennial Park" as it's affectionately known is a "miracle" of what man can do to live in complete agreement with God, nature, and his fellow men. You see this park was formerly an eyesore and a "stain" on the community of Muster, IN. This most prestigious park was a "landfill" full of death, decay, and mans disregard for the very land he is to manage. However, with an unwavering commitment to showcase what the citizens of Muster, IN would do to bring correction to their error. "Centennial Park and Golf Course" is truly a "Diamond" founded in the ruff! Yes, this well maintained park is of course open to the public at no cost. It boast an Amphitheater [second to none completely wired for sound], a pond supplied with lake perch, ducks, and other aquatic life. Two wooden bridges that span over the water for a continuous trail, covered areas for picnics and barbecues, a state of the art "Jungle Gym" play area for the kids, a dog park exclusive to pet lovers, and an botanical garden nuptials book well in advance to take advantage of the most memorable and breathtaking scenery you can find "ANYWHERE" in the world! Furthermore, the park boast a "signature" golf pro shop, and restaurant. Moreover, the clubhouse / main structure offers "ballroom" facilities for every occasion from business meetings to wedding receptions, church anniversaries etc. All moderately priced for the resident or visitor. I go they often because I just a few miles away and will upload the breathtaking views now that summer weather will put the park on full display. So, if you're passing through or live nearby check out "Centennial Park and Golf Course", and you too will find the "Diamond in the ruff."
Centennial Park is impressing because of his landscape architecture, the beautiful fountains in the lake, a fun playground for children, a stage for events like concerts and it is a pretty place for seeing the 4th of July firework. Some people fish there. For children, it is great. You just have to keep an eye on the really small ones so they do not fall into the water (there is no fence) but the playground is far enough from the lake.
Centennial Park is a beautiful park in the Town of Munster, built on a landfill. There are many amenities including a 3-acre dog park, shelters, formal gardens; a clubhouse for rental for weddings, business meetings, etc.; a lake, entertainment stage, bike trails, playground, and golf course. Throughout the summer, there are concerts, plays, and a farmer's market at Centennial. This is a family friendly park. Lots of people are there everyday walking, jogging, biking and walking their dogs.
This is a great park to visit at least once a week. It's clean and is all green with all natural habitats preserved. The Farmer's market every Sunday from Apr - Oct is another reason to visit. I like how there are ducks swimming in water, birds chirping on trees. There's a golf course too which I've not yet been t but the place is great. Also, there is ample parking, and no fee to visit. They sometimes host events like July 4 fireworks, fairs, etc. and that's when it might get crowded.
Lots to do and see here. Especially nice to visit the farmer's market on Sunday mornings. Great for walking with your dogs or just your family.
A the Centennial Park they have good concerts and events like the Grape Escape and 4th July fireworks there. On Sundays they have a farmers market also
Centennial Park is a beautiful park on the south side of town, on Calumet Ave. The south end of the park has a 9-hole golf course, dog park and clubhouse with The View Restaurant inside for soup and sandwiches. The north end of the park has shelters and a playground. This park also has the following amenities: walking paths, formal gardens, and a bike path. Fun for the whole family!
Space is terrible, food fair to poor. Don't waste your time here.
