My husband and I were looking for a way to spend the afternoon and decided to try out the little museum. we really enjoyed it. There were a lot of different exhibitions to make it worth the entry fee.

When people ask me about local venues to hold an event, Upcountry History Museum in always on my list of recommendations. In fact, when I wanted to have a party to launch my non-profit, we held it here. #LoveLocalUpstate

The museum is very nice and clean. The exhibits are informative and fun. There is a theater where a movie shows some history of the area. 2 levels, clean restrooms, and a fun room for kids with lots of hands-on exhibits. This is not a large museum but still had enough to keep us busy for awhile. Worth the visit. $6 for adults and $4 for kids.

Worth the time. A real look into the regions past. Took brother Fromm PA there and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

I decided to take my four kids to the seasonal pirate/treasure exhibit. I was a little reluctant at first. I did not know if the exhibit would be stimulating enough to entertain my kids, but I was pleasantly surprised. My children loved it. There was so much for them to do. They were able to mine for fools gold and shoot miniature canyons. I would recommend visiting the museum.

Love the lay out of the museum, the history and the fantastic exhibits. They really take care in presenting the real history of that area of South Carolina. Well worth your time . Be sure and go to this museum while in Greenville.

My husband and I returned this afternoon from a 3-day stay in Greenville, and yesterday's visit to the Upcountry History Museum was one of the highlights of the trip. This beautiful museum highlighting the Upcountry is so well done - absolutely gorgeous facades of historical buildings (the courthouse facade is an exact "to-scale" replica), numerous "hands-on" features such as life-sized men and women who share their story at the touch of a button (outstanding voice acting), and excellent rotating exhibits. We were very touched by the Vietnam War exhibit that is presently on display - John Steele's stunning paintings and drawings commissioned by the U.S. government and created while on location in 1966. My husband and I also very much enjoyed the current "The Wartime Escape: Margaret and H.A. Rey's Journey from France" which chronicles, in beautiful illustrations, the true story of the escape of the acclaimed authors and illustrators of "Curious George" from Paris just days before the Nazi occupation. Our two hours at the Upcountry History Museum was fun, informative, interactive - all that you could hope for and more in a local attraction. Wonderful for kids and adults alike - we'll be back with friends!

Attended the SEAC 2014 Reception here last week. The exhibits are wonderful - both for adults and children! Very well laid out and interesting museum, would love to go back!

The permanent exhibits are enough to keep you coming back, with much information and interactive exhibits tell of the history and interesting facts about our past. Really like some of the additional exhibits that are there for a limited time. A fun place to visit.

We allotted only an hour here -- we had to leave before we were ready. Lots of neat exhibits for varied ages. We ranged in age from 18 to 50. We all wished we had more time there. I'd say that 2 hours would be good.

The Upcountry History Museum is the place to go if you want to know all of the history of the Upstate! Great venue to rent out for parties as well!

This little museum is a gem. Not too big or too small. Interesting exhibits. Appealing to all ages, especially when special exhibits- such as the author Jan Brett's works.

This wonderful little museum has excellent displays that depict life in the upstate. Being from the north it is always interesting hearing from an area where slavery was a way of life.

This is a very well organized museum that proved to be a great way to spend a couple of hours. Not being from North Carolina, I knew nothing about Upcounty History - wow, I learned a lot here! I was very surprised by how nice it was - the pictures posted here don't really do it justice.
