Hopefully this is where I was, just an awesome time walking along the river. Saw sailboats, sea otters, what a peaceful place to be. When you get hungry, there's restaurants overlooking the water.
The trail follows the might Columbia River. It is a wonderful paved, wide trail that accommodates walkers and bicycles. There are several restaurants to stop and enjoy the view along with refreshments.
We had a beautiful two days of sunshine and the trail was a beautiful to walk after dining. Highly suggest exploring it.
A great trail for a stroll or jogging maybe.Lots of nature there to see and hear, I saw a seal as well as some birds of prey.Lots of shops and stores nearby walking distance.Bathrooms are on hand but one was closed due to budget cuts.benches are on hand if you need to sit and relax, as well as a baseball diamond and some swing sets and a merry go round are there too, also a covered area for a family gathering or event area is there.
Love walking on this trail any time of the day. Lots to see and experience on the waterfront. Well marked and nice for families and pets.
Wonderful bicycle ride on a beautiful fall day, right along the Columbia River. The shops and eateries were fun to stop in- excellent walking path also.
Had a nice sunny day in October 2014. Beautiful area to walk for bike. Nice place for a romantic walk to see the sites.
this is a gem of a place in the amazing pacific northwest. boats and planes and trains....waterfront and beautiful greenery, restaurants and cool shops, why would you go anywhere else???
Interesting walk along the Columbia River. Watch the birds diving for fish or just sit in one of the many restaurant terraces and watch the boats go by. Interesting sculpture along the trail including a tribute to Wendy the Welder (a contemporary of Rosy the Riviter).
this walk can be as long or as short as you wish, fabby photographic opportunities and a way to see the river from the ground with all round views, plenty of places to stop n ponder or have a spot to eat or drink, passes the old fort too
This trail is great! If you are ever in Vancouver Washington you need to walk this trail. It was easy to walk and several places to sit down.
This paved walkway accommodates everyone. Whether in a wheelchair, on a scooter, bike, roller blades or on foot, this is for you!The city of Vancouver worked hard and spent years to fund and develop this rare public access to our beautiful Columbia river waterfront. The result is uncommon access for miles along the waterfront on a paved trail, which is wide enough to accommodate all forms of non motorized transportation. Not just for those on foot. Families are often spotted walking together, with strollers and bikes along side pedestrians. If the weather is nice, there is no better place to visit for a waterfront walk with the family. Similarly, this is a wonderful location to stroll with a lover hand in hand to watch the sunset. If you are hungry, the trail passes several waterfront restaurants. If you enjoy walking on paved trails through scenic areas, make sure to also check out the Burnt Bridge Creek trail. It is also in here in Vancouver. It offers miles of paved trail through woodsy areas and alongside a watershed complete with small wildlife and waterfowl.Come and enjoy all that the city of Vancouver has worked so hard to offer our residents and guests. Giving equal access to all citizens in recreational choices is one of the strengths in our communities values! Welcome to our fair city, Vancouver on the Columbia!
You can walk from the Beaches and mcmenamins restaurants into downtown Vancouver. This is a scenic and beautiful route that can also lead into Fort Vancouver which is north of the trailer. The trail is about 10 feet wide and is paved. Bicycles, roller-bladders and walkers are on this trail. Here is a link to a good walk through Fort Vancouver Officers Row, the river front and into downtown:http://www.endomondo.com/routes/113749051
