Used to stay near Redmond Town Center. This place has everything one needs to explore. From shopping outlets to eateries.
Though v cold in December, Redmond town center is an excellent place to visit with kids in the holiday season, especially on a Sunday afternoon.Live orchestra and music, joyrides, skating, get photographed with Santa and a hot coffee.... What else do you need...but make sure you are wearing warm clothing....
So happy to have found Redmond Town Center. We've been back often as the stores are fabulous and accessible as is parking. It's very new and clean, well lit and safe. The store options are wonderful. Truly enjoy this area and have been back often during a few month visit to the area.
A wonderful go-to location for families with young children. There are many shops to explore and during the summer there is a fantastic farmer's market to go to close by.
We were staying in Redmond for a sports event. We stayed at the Marriott which anchors one end of Redmond Town Center, an outdoor mall. We walked through the mall several times to get food and to just walk around. The Town Center had a lot of empty store fronts. On Sunday AM, we looked around for an open restaurant because we didn't want to eat at the hotel. We walked around by Claim Jumper, BJ's and Red Robin. The only place we could find to get food was the Starbucks in a central area of the mall near the round open ceiling. We looked in the windows of the movie theater. It looks like fun and claims to have gourmet food as well as premium beer and wine. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to take in a show.We noticed the Health Foot Spa on the second floor across from the iPic theatre. I have a minor foot injury and decided to try the 30 minute foot massage. It was $20. The spa also offers full body massages and other foot massages and combos. Check out the menu at http://www.healthfootspa.net/ When I came in, a gentleman greeted me and I said I wanted the 30 minute foot massage. He said someone would be with me in 10 minutes. I sat down in a small pleasant seating area. There was a curtain walling off the waiting room from the massage rooms. In a few minutes, someone came out and paid. I was then invited in. Everything is done quietly so that the clients being massaged aren't disturbed. A small locker was indicated to me where I placed my purse and book reader. I was directed to a toweled bench with a pillow and an ottoman. Looking at the other clients, I laid on the ottoman, face up with my head on the pillow. Soon, a bucket of water was placed at my feet and I put my feet in the water. My head and shoulders were briefly massaged. Then a towel was placed over my eyes so I could relax. Then my feet were removed from the water and placed on the ottoman for the massage. The actual massage consisted of some relaxing rubbing as well as some more interesting techniques. My toes were pulled out individually. My heels were pounded. There was also some kind of slapping along my lower legs. There was some pressure on my hips to loosen them up. The 30 minutes passed quickly. When I got up, my feet felt a lot better. Overall, the massage was helpful, relaxing and different from any I had ever had. If you like massages, for $20, you can't go wrong with the 30 minute foot massage. Try it! Another open outlet we tried was Pinkabella Cupcakes which has delicious, adorable and addicting little cakes!I hope business picks up at the Town Center and that they are able to rent out the remaining spaces.
Redmond Town Center has little bits of different types of stores: coffee, chocolate, tech, outdoors, home, fashion, video games, anime, resturants, and board games are a few. It has several good children's areas and stores as well. On a nice day it's pleasant to walk around the outdoor mall and window shop but, being Seattle, there aren't too many warm and sunny days throughout the year. It was a little chilly on my visit so I carefully planned out where I was going next to minimize my time outside. The restaurant variety is good but they can be very busy in the evening so plan carefully. If you're visiting, there is a large hotel in the mall complex and transit isn't too far away (but it is a 15 min walk depending on what bus you need to catch). Parking is also good. In the evening (prime time) there wasn't much difficulty finding a spot. The iPic theatre is a great place for evening entertainment after you're done shopping around.
For the swanky yank, this mall, as with many in the States, appears to have done away with what I would call "fun" stores. It seems wherever I travel now, what you might call "middle class" malls or shopping parks are now being replaced by expensive boutiques. The loss of the huge book seller had a great impact on the community and the RTC. I do so wish that Barnes and Noble would consider taking over some of the Borders (or Hoarders, e.g. graft and fraud). The Town Center can still suffice with staple like Eddie Bauer, Chico's, Gap. Since upscale shopping has moved to up, up, upscale Bellevue (15 minutes away). Town Center seems a bit at a loss as to identity. Nonetheless, close to the three main hotels in the area. Still a good place to grab a fresh business shirt, warmer jacket, etc.
There isn't a lot here. A few shops and some restaurants. But the outdoor seating is nice. I wish the road was closed so the center area wasn't so loud.
It is a place where we find everything. Shopping, cafes, diners, snack bars, salons, small sound-theme area for kids to play. It is a fun place.
What is the purpose of a "town center" where people can gather if the roof has a giant hole in it and there is a road right through the middle where people want to congregrate? Poor planning. They can't seem to keep stores in there very long either. Not a place to go for a fun time to shop.
This town center is without character. A stuck together place with no core or central attraction. Like many relatively new town centers it does not work. It's not anything other than a poor shopping mall.
A lovely open mall with lots of parking, shops and restaurants. There is a very relaxed feeling here and somehow the shops just seem friendlier than other malls nearby! While it is an outdoor mall, they do have plenty sheltered walkways so even if it's not the best weather, you can still get around the mall. I'd recommend it as a good alternative to Bellevue Sq if you want to avoid the hectic feeling there.
Nice place for decent food options and little bit of shopping to add along with it. Macys most of time runs some sort of promotion. if you are looking to visit AT&T or T-Mobile where relatively less crowded you should consider this place. Close to 520 , AT&T and couple of Microsoft offices
Unfortunately, even though Redmond Town Center is advertised as a 'fresh air' mall, it isn't. Even though a law was passed in Washington State that prohibits smoking within 25 feet of any doorway and in any area where smoke will drift into a doorway, which is anywhere at the Redmond Town Center, and even though Redmond Town Center itself claims that it is a non-smoking mall, no one does anything about smokers. Parents bring young children to play there and they are subject to these smokers. Security has a video of everything going on and yet no one goes after the smokers. In fact many smokers claim that security walks right past them. Statistics show that usually it is those in the lower economic strata that smoke, but yet all of us are subjected to it. And if one dares to politely remind any of those smokers that the mall is non-smoking, be prepared for smoker's rage, which I think surpasses road-rage. Some of those smokers would rather stamp out an elderly person rather than stamp out their cigarette or cigar as was the case yesterday. I know I don't go down there as often as I used to and many others don't as well.
It's an open mall, with obviously a lot of shops and restaurants. It also has some places for the kids to play or get wet in those hot summer days. It's really nice just to walk around, and it's quite big so you could definitely spend a morning, afternoon or evening there.
