Tucked up in the hills above Issaquah, Wa is a small zoo, that many in the Seattle area no nothing about. Cougar Mt Zoo has lemurs, big cats, alpacas, as well quite a few other animals all in a quiet country setting. Check it out!

I love this zoo. small and yet very educational. We took our grandson and he had a great time. He especially loved the bird exhibit...lots of beautiful parrots and such. We will be coming back!

Yes, it is quite small. So the variety of animals is of course small as well, including the size of the habitats. But it is well maintained and interesting enough for an afternoon visit. The zoo is known for its Reindeer Festival which takes place during the month of December.

Worth a visit if you are in the area. Small little zoo. Small amount of animals.Enclosures are pretty small but they are expanding some and looks like it will be improving.

My Granddaughter and I visited this zoo in 2012 and in 2014. I gave the zoo another chance, what a mistake. Do you not realize that these animals habitats are grossly lacking in natural habitat and size of the enclosures. Even my 8 year old Granddaughter noticed that the animals were not happy. Cats are in need of large habitats, not pens! The reindeer were also a sad exhibit with the hard soil and the male eating hay from a trough on a wood porch! Is that a natural enclosure? Another horror was the exhibit of slaughtered animal in the museum. How does dead animal heads, hides, and hoofs show conservation. My Granddaughter was horrified that the zoo would display these poor animals in a trophy room and asked if we could leave. On a more minor but dissappointing note were the lack of signs explaining that entire trails had nothing to see. We noticed this in 2012 as well as 2014. I will never support this zoos efforts to keep animals there or return.

I went to this zoo in 2012 and was disappointed with the lack of animals that were there. I have since decided to visit the zoo again and remained disappointed. This zoo is very clean and the setup is very orderly and nice. Unfortunately, there still isn't that much to see. It is a mini-zoo and it should warn people that it is not able to provide the typical zoo experience. No zebras, rhinos, monkeys, elephants, snakes, bugs...just some birds, some reindeer way up at the top of a hill and some other small animals scattered here and there. Again, the prices are ridiculous for the mini zoo coming in at a whopping $43.00 for 2 adults and 2 children (10 & 5). So, thats my last visit and I would not recommend it to anyone unless you have money to burn and time to do nothing. Sorry.

Kinda disappointed in the lack of activities and viewing opportunities. I'm glad the related school students get the experience to help maintain the zoo, but the value to paying customers is inadequate.

This was a really fun experience! The tigers were beautiful and so much closer than at the Woodland Park zoo. We were there at feeding time and it was interesting to hear the keepers talk about them .

Nothing here was too special, but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon while visiting my sister. Lots of small children were having a ball. Perfect for them since it is a small zoo.

The cats were especially interesting. The viewer could get close enough to appreciate these magnificent predators. Lots of family activities available also. The grounds are small but well planned.

this is a great family zoo. Small so you just need a couple of hours. The enclosures are large and natural and the animals are beautifully cared for. The main attraction are the Bengal Tigers and the Cougars. In the winter the reindeer festival is great fun. They also have alpacas and other small animals that one can hand feed. Very nice place and well managed.

Such a great little zoo to bring the kids to. It is a much easier outing than either Point Defiance or Woodland Park and my kids seem just as happy to go here. I think it is best for families with young children, and hopefully your kids aren't expecting elephants or lions. They CAN see cougars, tigers, tons of parrots, macaws, interesting birds, lemur, etc. The best part is that they can purchase feed for some of the deer and other animals. That is an experience you can't get everywhere. Check it out! I had a birthday party there for one of my boys and it was a fabulous party for the 4 or 5 year old age. Spendy, but different and well-run.

We are members and go several times a year and enjoy it very much. The animals are well cared for and the staff are really friendly and chat with you about the animals.

This is a small zoo but very nice for the family, especially with young children. The Reindeer Festival during Christmas is terrific and a must see.

This is a small professionally run zoo that features 4 Bengal Tigers and a small number of other animals. See very healthy animals up close in a modern setting along with one of the largest collections of cast bronze animals on the west coast. Staff is very professional and there are short informative lecture and enrichment chats every 1/2 hour. Many programs available, and go early in the summer day--very limited parking, no real food service, but that is not why you go to this hill side zoo, They also will host your special events. Very loyal following. Do see this small specialty zoo-children get close to the animals though certainly not a petting zoo.
