We visit Amador County every year and this winery is one of our "must stops". For one thing our brought has been indoctrinated in refilling both our olive oil jugs and our red table wine bottle. Three of us this year showed up with our bottles for the inexpensive refills. Certainly that is one of the things that keeps us coming back, the refills but also the humor and good tasting room personnel they hire. One man in particular (I forget his name but his wife owns Susan's Place in Sutter Creek) brings us up-to-date every time we come in. This year it was a story of how five puppies from a Saint Bernard litter of ten disappeared overnight. Coyotes? Mountain lions? He wasn't saying (leaving that to your imagination) but I think we understood it was a human opportunist that saw the "for sale" sign in the winery and took advantage of it. That is the other nice thing about this winery, they are dog friendly. So between their fabulous every day table wine, Brazin' Hussy Red, to their more exotic Alicante Bouschet, and everything in between, this is a great place to pick up a little education in Amador County.

A fun stop on our Amador wine tatsings with value priced wines and warm hospitality.tip: If you buy a bottle they waive the tasting fee. Overall we preferred the higher end wines at Runquist and Cooper but had no regrests in enjoying Bray's drops.

The place was a bit busy when we arrived (just before closing) as there was some sort of 3-day wine event happening in the valley. Still, they made time for us and made sure we enjoyed our tasting. It’s interesting, we’d NEVER buy a $24 bottle of wine at home yet, we find we do this over and over when tasting. We ended up buying just one bottle on this visit, their Port. We look forward to coming back!

Brayzin Hussy Red is fun and delicious. Love the attitude of the staff--wine is their life. Not too commercial.

This winery is a lot of fun. We had passed the location up in past visits but decided to stop in at the end of a day. What a fun time we had with the Brazin Hussy and the variety of Reds. There are several attractive deals for locals. We'll stop by again, even though we're not locals.

Whenever we are in the area we stop at Bray for a couple of bottles of the Brayzen Hussey...it's the best!

I visited with an old group of school friends. The wines were excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. I particularly liked the Sangioveses. We tasted the 2008 Sangiovese, and liked it very much. My friends who had been there before recommended the "La Dama Oscura," essentially a reserve Sangiovese, which I bought untasted (still unsampled). Definitely worth a stop!

Consistently good, year after year. Both red and white wines are fabulous. Don't miss!
