Went for a drink after a day in Yosemite. Stayed at Best Wester. Lovely wine choices and good beer selection with good recommendations. We also he the antipasto with our drinks. Ample food for two people and. Beautiful cheese.suggestion to say what the cheeses are on the board or when served. Worth stopping.

Arrived in Mariposa hot and in need of refreshment. We had seen reviews for The Alley, so went in search, full of anticipation. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we opened the door and my husband thought he had arrived in heaven when one of the pumps read Old Speckled Hen. He was not disappointed. I was faced with a range of red and white wines to choose from and, with help, settled on the Sauvignon Blanc, a perfect choice. The following evening found us once again drawn to The Alley where we continued from where we had left off the night before. This time however we chose to try the Antipasto platter to accompany the alcohol - a perfect choice. I cannot recommend this attraction too highly it is perfect in every way. Over 21 only.

This man from Ohio had a wonderful time. The owners, F and A are very nice and the staff is very outgoing. The best place in Mariposa to meet new friends . Plan another visit soon.

We were so happy to find this little heaven of beer! They even had one if my all time favourites from England, Old Speckled Hen. I was a happy bunny on a hot Californian day. They have antipasto like snacks too.

The staff were friendly. I had a beer flight and let the staff pick the beers. Good choices. This is not a brew pub so the beers were not unique. Since I am from the east coast I had not heard of all the beers on the menu. Couldn't believe they had Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap but hey what can I say.

Popped in here after reading about it on trip adviser. The staff were very knowledgeable on the beers and allowed us to try before ordering. Whilst there, we also had a platter of antipasti. Although a little pricey as $15 it was just what we needed after a few days of having bigger meals.

We were visiting Yosemite over Xmas and New Year from the UK before going down to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree NP. We spent a couple of nights in Mariposa and found The Alley by chance. We are very glad we did. My husband enjoyed the beers enormously and was delighted that the owners, Flora and Aaron, were so well informed about their craft ales. I enjoyed the wine and we both loved the welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for helping to make our American trip so enjoyable.

Thank You, Thank You, for your glowing review! I remember you and your friend... East Coast...New York, but friend was a kiwi? Please correct me if I am wrong! Anyhow, it it always so nice when someone goes out of there way to do something nice for a fellow human, so: THANKS! I hope you come back someday and freak out at how much we have added to this little bar in the woods. Here's to livin' and lovin" Flora & Aaron Savage

This bar in the middle of nowhere is fun. Take a flight! Lots of nice beers and wines. Mariposa is in the middle of nowhere. On main street you find a few hotels and restaurants. By coincidence we took THE ALLEY and that was a good choice!!!!!!

Flora and Aaron Savage have done a great job here. They've grown a small business with love and incredibly detailed knowledge of great wines that are local, and notably, not from the Napa Valley. Their beer list is equally varied, and the atmosphere they create is personable and classy. This, alongside their unhesitating recommendations of other local businesses, really made our stay in Mariposa the highlight of California for us.

Great wine selection. The owners are so willing to please. Brought out an amazing wine that wasn't on the list to try. This was our second visit here on a three day trip to Yosemite. If you want a really good wine after a hard day of hiking stop here!

Rolled by The Alley after setting up in Mariposa ahead of driving into Yosemite the next morning. Truly an amazing wine and beer menu. We got the chance to sit down with the owners Aaron and Flo who reconditioned the entire place and run it as their baby. Great bar, cool table seating, and a perfect beer/wine garden. This place is a little gem generally a quiet town that is a perfect distance from visiting Yosemite. It has all the little things, right down to a wall constructed out of shutters.Looking for a superb wine and beer selection in a cool atmosphere with an extremely knowledgeable and articulate bar staff...hit it up. Completely unpretentious yet cutting edge in a small town. You'll love the vibe.
