Awesome intertainment!!! So funny but for 4 people to get the min. Of 2 purchases it was $103 and that was Just drinks. No food and didn't include tip
We go there with friends, it is a great place to mix up regular dinners.Food is okay, a bit over priced in my opinion. The comedians were great and we always have fun.
You will have 3 or 4 acts for each performance, some will be great , some will be so so. If you are sensitive to cursing, stay away. Look for coupons by getting on there mailing list. There is a 2 drink minimum at your table. If sitting up close you may ne picked on so expect that. Parking is a block away but Burbank at night is nice to walk. Food is also available.
This was my second visit to Flappers and both times I have eaten dinner here. I have to say the food is really much better than I ever expected. Typical food choices at comedy clubs include things like nachos and well, basically anything fried with or without cheese. Not my style at all. Most clubs say two drink minimum where as here they say two item minimum so if like me you are training for a big mountain bike race - you'd rather have water and nice chicken plate with a salad - which I did. Cobb salad was great! By the way the pizza is great too! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.Everyone there was really nice and the comics we saw were mostly funny. Like any club it's definitely hit and miss how good the comics are but I had a good time even though I wasn't laughing my butt off. It's great for friends and couples - I will definitely go back.
We laughed a lot, and ate very well at Flappers. We were in their intimate room, which seated about 50. The comedians were funny!I had a marinated chicken breast, over rice with broccoli, which was good. The service was very attentive, even working around the lineup of comics.
Couldnt tell you who we saw, but it was small, up close and darn funny. two drink minimum, which wasnt hard to do.
Expecting it to be great. We so loved it. It's been so long since we've been together. What else can I say? Awesome. Stupendence, Killer
My wife and I went to the Flappers Comedy Club in July 2014 with a Groupon special. We both had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the experience. My wife and I attend comedy clubs often, but this was our first visit the Flappers in Burbank. We made our reservations on line and found the process to be very easy, and the agent was very friendly.Flappers is located on the corner Magnolia and 1st Street, in the old Macaroni Grill restaurant. The seating is come early for best seats, but to be honest, all the seats were really good. We got there about 45 minutes early and had awesome seats. They have a two item minimum. The good news is that when you get there you can have a seat in the showroom, and whatever order counts toward your minimum. You don't have to wait it the bar and not have your drinks count like some other comedy clubs. The drinks are priced around $8-$13, depending on what you order. All of the drinks we ordered were very good. They have a good variety food menu. Our food was excellent. Everything we saw delivered tot he other tables also looked and smelled great. The show was about 2 hours, and there were 4 comedians, who were all very funny. Top quality act, each and everyone. We look forward to going back to Flappers soon, and want to bring our family and friends with us.
After being disappointed with the chain restaurants that dominate downtown we found Flappers, a comedy club looking to bring back a little character to Burbank. Flappers is a large club with 2 small stages, a bar, small patio, main stage, and a large full menu kitchen - not your normal Comedy Club and that's what makes it so great. You can go for a pre-show cocktail with friends, hang out, maybe catch a small act on the small stage before heading into the main stage area. There you can order a decent meal (and drink more) before and during the show. I had the baked wings and mac and cheese which were great. After the show you can stick around and maybe catch a big name act trying out new material on the "Yoo Hoo" stage or enjoy/cringe and open mic night. All in all a great addition to downtown Burbank. They also have comedy classes at "FU!"For more + pictures see here http://www.thislifeintrips.com/flappers-comedy-club/
Have always enjoyed our good times at this Club. Good food, nice people and great comedy! Been there many times and not disappointed! Close to downtown Burbank, movie theatres and the Mall.. take it all in if you can!
We went on open mike night and the people were very funny trying to get noticed. The food and drinks were good and they do host big names, but we were not there on those nights.
The prices are fair and staff was friendly. It was pretty cool that they also offer cookies and milk!!
We loved the comedy (Maria Bamford! and others), but the payment system is strange. You buy a ticket, then have to buy two items per person from the menu. Wait staff run around during the show. I'd rather pay to see a show alone or for dinner alone, not together.
I have been to Flappers many times. Sometimes the comics are great, sometimes not. You are definately taking a chance unless you already know of that person. The showroom is great. Not a bad seat anywhere. And here is another good surprise, the food is fabulous. Fresh & changes selections often. It's not at all expensive and instead of a 2 drink min. it is 2 of anything. Food or drink. If I were to critize anything, it's that they sit 4 people at this little tiny table. Not good if are eating. However there is what I call "bar seating" and that might allow you more table room. You can have a fun night, and not spend a fortune. However, if it's not funny, it's pretty boring. Also, for some reason, they allow children. I don't think some acts are suitable for kids. (also had a crying baby once).
What's not to like?Excellent food and I mean excellent!!!!Great entertainment Love the service! We go to Flappers 2-3 x per month
