The parks along the river in Eugene are wonderful. Good place to walk. Have a family picnic. Make a point of looking around it is beautiful.
Eugene has two major Rivers running through it, make sure you find yourself on one either rafting or in an inner tube, its a great way to relax and soak up some sun.
visiting the Willamette river. It runs through the heart of Eugene. Whether you raft it or walk alongside it on the River walk (behind Valley River Mall) you'll be refreshed by the sights and sounds of this beautiful river.
Love hearing the sounds, following the river through town, listening to the rushing water, watching white caps, seeing people enjoy it's splendor. This river lets you know that the world is in order for when water runs, all things are good!
The Willamette River runs right through Eugene, and the River Walk that runs alongside it is a great way to explore Eugene by foot or bicycle.
It's a beautiful river - and since the "formula" demands 50 characters I'll say it over and over - it's a beautiful river. . .
The mighty Willamette is a great place to relax and chill out. There are heaps of access points along the way, and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to just relax.
a true draw to the area. Beautiful with decent access. A great place to go for a walk and relax. Be a bit careful. The city seems to encourage the aberrant addicts etc so be a bit careful
I really liked the access at numerous places, the well managed foot trails, the rose gardens. Truly beautiful. I ended up on the park and trail twice exploring Eugene on foot. Very worthwhile. Suggest an afternoon spent exploring the river and parks.
Both of the restaurants mentioned above had beautiful decks overlooking the river. It was an idyllic setting and a wonderfully scenic time.
The whole region is super- the wine- the valley, the river.Best of all- the people were so friendly.
An excellent place to float, bike, hike, walk, stroll, whatever floats your boat. Fun way to get some exercise when the weather cooperates.
loved this . wore a big straw hat. went down the rapids on tyres. beautiful lush oregon. great memories of the place.
We parked on the back side of Valley River Center, thinking that even though the winter day was cold, damp and foggy, we might enjoy a walk along the river. Well, yes and no. Even though the footpath is nice and it's pleasant being able to walk right alongside the river, the day was really too cold for us to enjoy it. We didn't go very far!I think we'll wait until springtime - or at least a nice day - before we visit again :-)
I rode my bike on this trail every day I was there. Just a few blocks from the Econo Lodge where I stayed.
