My husband, myself, my sister and her husband did wine tasting on a cold,rainy Saturday in January. We had an amazing time! Phillip was our driver/tour guide and he was awesome! He picked us up from Skamania Lodge where we were staying for the weekend. We stopped at 4 wineries and 2 breweries. Phillip was very knowledgeable about the area and was a great tour guide. He was very accommodating about changing up our stops along the way. There was also plenty of bottled water available and great snacks provided.We had a great time and highly recommend doing a wine tour with Columbia Wine Tours. Do not miss going to Marchesi Winery and Cathedral Winery - both have excellent wines and great staff. Thanks Phillip for the great time!

Would highly recommend taking a tour of the Columbia Gorge if you have never been to the area. Wine country, waterfalls, mountains everywhere. We enjoyed our day with Phil, our guide, and went to some small out of the way boutique wineries. Found a great Nebillo at Cascade Cliffs and talked with the owner for about 1/2 hr about the grape growing in this area.Our group was small for the tour (just 6 people) but we had a large van and went touring for about 5 hrs. It would be nice if the wineries served food but we had some snacks along which was a good idea.

Just wanted to thank Christi and Phil for the wonderful shuttle services to Mt Hood B&B from various Hood River Hotels this past Saturday. Numerous wedding guests commented on how friendly the drivers were and how much they enjoyed the on time ease of service.As for me (MOB), thank you for making the arrangements so easy to set up and for ensuring all the guests were on board before making the runs. My 'bus captain" idea with the checklist of riders was never quite executed as planned so I'm thankful the drivers stepped up (with their copies of the rider lists) to ensure everyone made it up & down the mountain.Will definitely suggest our wedding planner add your company to their 'A' list of shuttle providers. Hope to make it back for a wine tour in the coming year!

What a wonderful day doing Columbia Wine Tours with Phillip on our recent trip to The Dalles. We were picked up at our hotel and Phillip did an excellent job getting us to the first winery avoiding the interstate and sharing with us the history of the area. The first winery was The Waving Tree. Great wines and excellent service. The second winery was Maryhill and it was FANTASTIC. After wonder wine and shipping some back to Indiana, we were treated cheese, fresh fruit, sausage and water outside under the pergola. Next we went to 2 more wineries and had an excellent time at those also. Phillip gave us suggestions on where to eat and what to do in the area. He took us to several tourist spots along the way. I would highly recommend this tour in conjunction with staying at the Cellio in The Dalles...

We booked shuttle service between Cooper Spur Mountain Resort and Hood River, for before and following our son's wedding rehearsal dinner. The arrangements were made only a few days ahead, due to a glitch with previously made plans, so we were grateful that Christi and Phil were able to accommodate us. Our phone arrangements were made with Christi, who was cordial and prompt in returning our calls. On the day of our event, we found that we needed pick-up an hour before the original booking, and Christi and Phil cheerfully agreed to that change.Phil drove their 24 person bus that evening, and he was pleasant and prompt. Friends and family members who rode the shuttle had an enjoyable time being together for the 45 minute rides each way. We were thankful to leave the driving in Phil's capable hands on what turned out to be a stormy night. We would expect that the Columbia wine country tours that this company offers would be a lot of fun and of high quality. Hope to take one some time! My wife and I were moving our family to the gorge in 2012 and we weren't familiar with the area. What a great way to learn about all the great places and people in the Columbia gorge. Safety first, we were going on a wine tour, Christi picked us up and returned us to my doorstep, no driving and no worries. After getting familiar with our guide, she took us to Maryhill Winery in a 15 passenger van. She brought a spread of fine cheeses, fruit, crackers and soprasat, which we waited until the end to break out. We also toured Jacob Williams, Cascade Cliffs, and Marshall's winery. Christi gave us great advice of what to try at each winery, as did the people at each winery. We only touched on a small fraction of the wineries of this region, but it was the perfect way to reach out and learn about what this place has to offer. We also saw many people driving themselves. I was was so glad I wasn't driving but even better was having a guided tour.

We had a wonderful time with Columbia Wine Tours. Our driver Christi took us to 5 beautiful wineries. We also had an amazing lunch provided by Columbia Wine Tours. She was very knowledgeable about the wines, wineries and the area. She even took us through town and showed us some of the more interesting sites there and gave us some advice on what to do after our tour. We will definitely be back next year! I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a fun day of wine tasting.

Signed up for the wine tasting tour with www.hoodrivertours.com. Phil was our guide and he did a nice job telling us about wine making and the different varieties in the Columbia Gorge. We went to lots of wineries, he put out a great picnic lunch with our wine, and great views of the cherry blossoms. will have to come back to go to all the other wineries. Nice that they pick us up and drop off right at our hotel. Pheasant Valley and The Gorge White house were my favorites in Hood River.
