Over priced for sure, No hot water due to pipes freezing I think? We only stayed one night, other then that, it was really nice!!! Zip line, and guys that ran it were very sweet, fun, and helpful, tree swing was crazy lol..got to try it!!, ppl in the office were awesome, very helpful!! We tried one tree house out, but was just to high for me, and so tiny you could barely move around in it, so if your afraid of heights and hate small spaces, ask for bigger and closer to the ground, we got lucky, they had one lol.. I can see coming here in the summer and having a blast!! There's actually a lot to do in cave junction too. Wild cats, caves, hiking etc...
no refunds or vouchers for another day even for weather as per owner would like to have come back on a differant day
There were 20+ of our clan staying here. We had the most awesome time at the tree houses! We were ages 6 months to 65 years old. The breakfasts were excellent. The swimming hole was great to cool off in the hot weather. Zip lining, horse back riding, cave tour, and white water rafting. Such a great experience. One I hope my grand kids will remember forever!
Well, you would expect a 16 yr old boy to take on the ziplines, but a 73 yr old Grandma? Yes! They had a blast. An excellent experience, courteous instructive staff, well maintained facility. Do it! Don't miss the "Tarzan Swing", if your brave.
The treehouses were booked so we were not able to stay here but came anyway to do the ziplines. Definitely fun! We did the entire package (all ten ziplines) and the Tarzan swing (a must do also). Our zipline guides were awesome (Devon, Matt, Christy, Adam). They were knowledgeable, fun, and most importantly-concerned with our safety. We want to try to book a treehouse to stay in and come back with the kids. We will definitely come back here again.
I love this place. The kids run free. You meet families and make a connection. Horses, ziplining, swimming, crafts, yummy breakfast and sleeping in a tree!!! What's not to like?
Took my family to celebrate a 50th and an 18th b-day expecting a quiet weekend with some small entertainment but was shocked to find so many things to do. The weather was great, the zip-line staff VERY encouraging, the Forestree was perfect for our family and has all the amenities of home while feeling secluded. The man made rock pool was closed for the season but still a beautiful place to spend some time. The kids went on a horseback ride and learned all kinds of things about the area and the plantation, which is awesome since they think they know it all. :)
Where do I begin! We stayed in the cabin where I could retire living in a cabin of this magnitude. My son and I went on the zipline and words can not describe how wonderful our guides Devon and Jarod were. I have extreme anxiety and I wanted to do things that I would NEVER do. My son coaxed me on the zipline, after the first one I wanted to quit. I finished the whole zipline tour, as these guides made me comfortable and after the "flying" was over. I felt awesome that I finished the whole zipline. Next year, I will do the zipline and the Tree Ascend as I know that I will have another amazing experience. The grounds have anything you would ever need, barbecues, pool, a sence of community and shower/toilets. You have to go there for the quiche! The chef Stephen...OMG... I wish he sold his breakfast quiche online as I would purchase it regularly. I am trying to duplicate his recipes, wish me luck!
Stayed in the treezebo for 2 nights. Enjoyed the pool, fire area, and community kitchen. There are rope swings for the kids (free) and horses or zip lines if you want to pay extra $$. We didn't do the optional activities though we did raft 1 day with liquid expeditions. It's an out of the way location but was well worth the trip!
While staying at the tree houses we took advantage of a lot of the activities available. The basic zip-line course is 9 zips, some through trees and some over the meadow. The guides were safe, friendly and skilled. You learn how to stop and keep facing forward with a short lesson. The “Tarzan Swing” was a real adrenaline rush, not for the faint of heart. We took horses out for a ride; it lasted about an hour and is through the beautiful Siskiyou forest. There is also disc golf available. Call ahead to schedule your activities, especially on the weekends.
So we stayed for 3 nights, must tell you cassidy(daughter) is scared of heights, me well I am not to fond of them as well.Grace(daughter), Kate(wife)not really. So first day not really exited about all the swinging bridges and steep stairs, but bye the end I was so comfortable w/ the well built tree houses and rickety bridges, that i wasn't even holding the railings. Super cool.. Any way the houses are all so cool the people are fantastic. We tie died, zip lined, we used one of the many BBQ's to cook. Don't miss out on this hidden gem. Have fun, hold on, and feel free.
We have been here twice to zipline and both times we have had a great experience! next time we want to stay in the tree houses!
Such an original idea, out in the midst of nowhere. Amazing treehouses for rent. Was featured on the Discovery channel as well. These are no "Bobby Brady" tree houses, either!
Utterly unique, Out 'n' About Treehouse Resort is unlike anything you've ever seen. A collection of amazing treehouses, domes, teepees and cabins, it is set in a very rural, very natural environment with a creek-fed pool, riding horses, rivers and pastures. The treehouses are amazing; one has three rooms, french doors, a claw-foot tub and a sizable terrace. Book well in advance, and allow for a good drive to get to this off-the-beaten-path destination.
Go for the Zip lines!!! You do not need to stay there to do the zip lines, just call one day ahaead to make reservations. The tree houses are unique...one step up from camping.
