quiet waters park

This is a very large and pretty park, but we were only there for the Renaissance Festival, which, in my opinion is not worth the money. We go to the Minnesota one every year and that one is fantastic, so I may just be spoiled!!! If I hadn't already bought the tickets online, we would not have even gone. There were a couple acts that were mildly amusing and one unique act.

My son (9 years old) and I rented bikes and helmets for one hour and rode around the park (I believe $30.00 plus tax total). My wife and daughters walked the trail around the Ski Rixen. A nice way to get a little exercise on a non beach day. It's a small fee on weekends to enter the park ($1.50 per person) and I believe free on weekdays. Bring your own food and drink. You can purchase drinks and snacks in the Bike America Shop.

my daughter and I went to the ren fest in quiet waters park, we had a lot of fun. however please note a few things..1. wear closed toe shoes ( sneakers ). fire ants are all over. 2. bring a lot of money... food is reasonably priced, but rides, archery, misc activities are a bit pricey. 3. there is a lot of interesting things to purchase. bring your credit card. ( I think all vendors accept them ). 4. the shows are fun. try and see them5. zip lining was fun. give it a tryoverall we had a great day !

My family went camping, with a couple of friends. 4 adults and a 3 1/2 year old. The first night we stayed in a tent and the second night we stayed in a tee-pee (everything else was booked) We actually LOVED staying in Tee-Pee #2, the space we had was great. The price was 35 a night. The only downside to the Tee-Pee's is that there is a small opening at the top that does not close, so if it rains...you and all of your stuff is soaked. It didn't rain on us though <3 WE all had a great time, we barbecued and hung out around the campfire at night.We rented paddle boats and went fishing (caught nothing). It was great because my daughter loves playing in the dirt and there are showers on the campsite. We all had a wonderful time, the only downfalls were that on the campgrounds you can't really fish! You get tangled up on the trees, weeds etc. and that the paddle boats were waaaayyy on the other side of the park. Also the nature trail was closed :/ We would still return

I hiked to this park and unfortunately had to split shortly after arriving as I had to get back but it appears to be a very cool place. I stopped in and chatted with the guy renting bikes and would have loved to rent a mt bike and explore the park. Also, the water skiing/wake board looked too cool. Next time :)

Take you family someplace other than the beach. This is a wonderful park. The park offers many shaded areas and a lake for swimming. It is located off Powerline Road and is easily accessible. Parking is never a problem.

I enjoyed my 2 visits to Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach earlier this month. It is a very unique and fascinating park that has great hiking and mountain biking trails, an exciting Ski Rixen cable water skiing area, a bald eagle nest on the lake by the mountain biking trail behind the camping area, wading birds, quaker parrots, warblers and was excited to see redhead ducks hanging out with the American coots which was a first time for me. Definitely worth the trip. To enter the mountain biking trail which is the only way to see the nest, I went to the office and paid around $5.00. They offer bald eagle viewing with a volunteer naturalist on Saturday mornings for $3.00 which includes binoculars.

Great park, good parking, lots of trees and if you have ever cable wake boarded, they got one here !

This park is very nice. Bring friends, food, drinks and bikes. They have covered areas available and the water sports are cool. Biking around the park is very easy unless you mountain bike, different story there. Clean and well kept. Great place for events too.

I stayed here in October and the weather was perfect. We rented about 6 tent's and it was really nice. Fun for the whole family, close to a waterpark and a rope pull water ski park. The Tent's all have power and water hookups and are really nice.

We had plans to camp this weekend with several other families. I called to cancel my site due to illness and was told that there was a 2-week cancellation policy. How on earth could I have known that I was going to be sick two weeks ago? Now they want to penalize me $25 to cancel (even though the site is now open to be booked) or I have to produce a doctors note (which requires a copay). I will never camp at this park.

They have picnic areas, a waterski area, and biking. Its not perfect for hiking, but doable. Not a lot of shaded areas unless you go to the picnic areas. I recommend a weekday visit over the weekend for a quieter park and less expensive entry.

Good location to just get out and enjoy the outdoors, for adventure , there r water sports on a lake and every year they host a car show which is for charity and a lot of fun, can be hot as it is inland , located off powerline Rd

Quiet Waters Park has facilities for water fun activities for children, hiking and biking for all. We'd reserved a Fun Umbrella for a birthday party but unfortunately lightning warnings closed the park for safety reasons. This is something you must always prepare for during summertime. Our party had to go to the birthday girl's home. A rain check was provided so that, hopefully, friends and family can enjoy the water park before the season is over.

The problem with this park is that Broward County decided to remove all the "non-native" "invasive" Australian Pine Trees that covered this park and made its annual Renaissance Festival, its outdoor biking and its rustic camping activities great. You used to feel you were in an enchanted "southern" forest at Quiet Waters Park. Unfortunately the goons in Broward County decided to eradicate all the "non-native" trees, and now the place resembles Chernobyl after nuclear fallout, burning hot from the scorching Florida sun and just a really unpleasant place to be. Such a shame.
