My son and his girlfriend came into town to visit. They wanted to golf, and I was a little concerned because this is "in season" in South Florida. I expected the rates to be through the roof. I looked on a golf website, and found Palm Beach National. Good golf rate... hmmm. Good reviews... hmmm. I booked a tee time for us, and then we went to the course. What a delightful place! The facilities are beautiful. The staff is tremendously friendly, from the clubhouse to the starter. The course is really well maintained. The grass is kept up and groomed nicely. The greens, fairways and traps were all smooth. The course is a really nice course, with a few truly beautiful and challenging holes. Pace of play was quick, but not rushed. I highly recommend it.

My ladies foursome likes some variety in the courses we play and my husband who discovered this course recently thought we, too, would enjoy this one. It has become one of our favorites and we take turns with this course and Atlantic National nearby when we want something challenging but not beyond us or outrageously priced. It is not as tricky as Atlantic National but similar level of difficulty. This season the condition of the course is excellent. The staff is the friendliest. Can't wait to go back.

It is a great course. Fairways and greens are in good shape. in most of the holes, you have much space to drive. Althought the course is full of players, it normally takes four hour to play it. The price is very fine, specially in twilighthours. Last hole is difficult and you can lost your score in that hole.

First time at PBN and it was great! Staff was very helpful from taking care of our bags to how to read the greens. Can't wait to go back.

This is a real golf course with great facilities … driving range … putting green … pro shop staff that were helpful … On the tee I met Barry, a regular, who was my cartmate … he had tips regarding the Bermuda grass and the T-Box to use … The course is in OK shape although some of the greens need better repair … The golf experience was good value for me … and I'd play there again …

This older, typical Florida course, was well-kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The locker room looked like the one in Caddy Shack! Very cool, vintage clubhouse. The greens were nice, but not lightning fast. The rough was not to bad. The fairways were in good shape, too. No beverage cart during the afternoon round that I played. Not a tough course either. Had some character. But, the majority of the holes were in the 350 to 420 range and were left-to-righters. Typical Joe Lee course. A few water holes. But, not to penalizing. The starter, the cart guy, and the pro-shop staff were very informative and friendly. Overall, a good experience for the price.

Looked up this course online and it looked pretty good but upon arriving it was obvious those pics and reviews were outdated. Arrived 30 minutes in advance of our tee time after driving an hour to reach the course only to be told that we didn't have time to hit the range and that there was no balls remaining for the range anyway putting green was unusable. No starter at all so went back inside the pro shop to ask where we should go to tee off and there was the pro ship girl handing out range balls that Five minutes earlier we were told they didn't have!!!! As far as the course fairways were patchy and worn and looked they hade been punched not to mention the grounds crew was oblivious to golfers on the course cutting across fairways in the middle of you teeing off and blowing sand traps as you putted. Overall wouldn't play here again for free was hands down horrible play the Presidents Club or Palm Beach Gardens or any of the other courses around the area rather than this hole!!!

Terrific course with very few water holes or woods to lose balls. Course is harder than it looks. Very friendly staff..

I played and reviewed this course a few years ago and thought it was a very solid find. After playing it yesterday I would just rate it as OK. Its relatively inexpensive which helps. The driving range was all chewed up. The course is relatively open as long as you dont get too wild. The fairways were cut, but there were a few weeds in growing in some of them and piles of clippings in other but nothing that would affect your play a whole lot. The tee boxes were also cut but alot of them were really thin on grass. The rough was mainly just grass like is in your yard and it had not been cut in a week or so it appeared. I know its rough but it just looked unkept. The greens were in ok shape. Some were a little thin as well but they werent awful and rolled pretty true. Its not a terrible course and I would play there again, but it seems like it has taken a step back in the last 2-3 years.

I have to agre with two of the recent reports. We three walked off after 15 holes due to the terribly slow rate of play which was not monitored by course rangers. The course allow golfers who repeatedly only hit the ball twenty or thirty yards of the back tees to play umonitored. We could not understand why they were not compelled to play off the forward tees. But again there was no one on the course to tell them either do this or at least play faster. There was no sense of urgency with players ahead when they could well see two groups behind waiting to tee off at certain holes. This course is very badly managed and at present the greens are not in good condition. For good golfers please look elsewhere to play... If you play here you will be very frustrated

I would rate the course a 7.5/10. I would rate the facilities and customer service a 10. If you're coming to visit the area, look for the green flyer for this course in one of the tourist displays at the airport or other local attraction. For $69 we got a great buffet lunch with sandwiches you can make to take out, a bucket of range balls, greens fee and cart. Can't beat it. Pace of play was about 4 hours the two times we played here. And, the practice facilities are good too...sand, putting, chipping, etc. All for $69. Great way and place to spend the day.

Lofty price for crappy course.Oh...Bad fairways and tee boxes and diseased greens. Roughs are totally inconsistent w/Lots of weeds. Don't make plans for at least 4 hours and 30 mins....overbooked for sure!Miserable:(Lofty price for crappy course.

Been playing this course for years and it's always been enjoyable, however, in the past several months, pace of play has been horrendous. Groups are being sent out too close together causing long waits and an even longer round. Obviously, making money has trumped making an enjoyable outing. Very sad. Even groundskeepers are having difficulty getting onto the greens/bunkers to maintain them as so many back-to-back golfers are out there. The once lush fairways are starting to become hard and barren. To much play/not enough maintenance.
