Everything about this ride was excellent! Gator Bruce was a fantastic tour guide and we were smiling the entire trip. He's humorous and knowledgeable and we were wowed by the wildlife and beauty of the area. The boat ride itself was a riot and adding everything else to the trip made it an experience we'll remember forever. We would HIGHLY recommend this adventure!

Just about the most fun ever! This was our sixth trip with Gator Bruce and his son Captain Bruce and they both do a fabulous tour! We try to take all our company to see this tour of the "real" Florida. They are both funny and informative and they tailor the trip to the clients. We saw lots of wildlife and learn something new on every trip. With the headphones you can hear the Captain and talk to each other. We are already thinking about who we will invite to go next! Fun for all ages!

We went with Capt. Bruce the son and this was a highlight of our vacation. He was very knowledgable on the area, the wildlife, even the trees. He was very personable. Took us places bigger boats can't or won't go. We saw a ton of gators and all kinds of birds and he knew the names of them all. We even saw two bald eagles. We will be coming back. Plenty of sightseeing and excitement.

We took an air boat ride with Gator Bruce and it was beyond our expectations. We had never been on an air boat before so we didn't know what to expect. We went out with Bruce Jr. He was professional in a very fun sort of way. I think our 11 year old son was smiling the whole time. The part that I liked the most was the fact that his boat was small so we were the only ones on it. When we visited some of the parks in Florida there were lots of people so it was nice to be the only ones on the boat. It was very private. Plus, his boat could go places that the larger boats couldn't. We were able to see more gators and other wild life that hadn't been scared off by the bigger boats. I will recommend this to all of my friends and relatives and would definitely go again if ever in the area. Thank You Gator Bruce for showing us a great and safe time.

A-Awsome airboat rides are the best we booked the day before with gator Bruce he said it would be him or his son Bruce we were on our way and captain Bruce Jr called as a courtesy call when we arrived he greated us and we went to restroom and we loaded up they allow you to bring a small cooler if you would like he is GREAT very knowledgeable and a wonderful guy if you want a personal tour of the swampy area's and see ALOT of gators and cows and Birds,ect Book these guys They are truly a natural at what they do and will not be disappointed.. THANK YOU Gator Bruce Jr for talking great care of us and giving us more then we expected!!!!! A-AWASOME

I was worried that we'd have trouble booking with A Awesome Airboat Rides because there were only two of us, but they sent out their smaller boat and we had the whole thing to ourselves.We chose a morning ride when the gators are sunning themselves to get warm and we saw plenty of them! It was refreshing to get out on the water breathing the clean air and see wild life in its natural habitat.Captain Gator Bruce Jr. was on time, patient with our questions, and didn't do anything crazy to scare us (although we might have thought that was fun). He was so good that we recommended the ride to my 77 year old mother who took the ride a week later.

Excellent! A 'do-not-miss' event.Bruce (the son) captained the boat, and the four of us had a wonderful, informative - and entertaining- tour. Three years ago, I went with Bruce (the dad) and it too was excellent.

This airboat tour was the highlight of our trip. You will not be disappointed if you book through Gator Bruce. You get personal attention that you will not find on the bigger boat tours. You can tell Gator Bruce loves what he is doing and is so knowledgeable. He takes the time to find you the alligators and it's amazing how quickly he can spot them, even from a distance. You get up close and personal with them for awesome pictures and we saw so many I lost track of the count. His boat is smaller and he can take you to places that the bigger boats can't get to. We went to this one spot that the bigger boats can't access. Since his boats are smaller we had a private tour just my family of 4. You can talk to him and each other with the headset that he supplies. I was on a airboat tour many years ago and it can not compare to this one. If you want a great experience with someone extremely knowledgeable then don't hesitant to give Gator Bruce a call. You will not regret it. After reading all the Airboat reviews we decided this sounded the best, so called to make reservations.As there were only the 2 of us going, we rang and said we'd fit in with whatever Capt. Bruce had going, although he did say he would do a favourable rate anyway if no-one else booked in.Within an hour he had rang back as there were now a couple of spaces and we booked and arranged to meet him at the boat ramp.On arrival we met Capt. Gator Bruce setting up and once the other family arrived we boarded and got under way.Capt. Gator Bruce was a brilliant airboat pilot, navigating the river with ease and getting us close to Gators, a couple of Bald Eagles and various other birds. We drove past cows and horses in the shallows and went further into the groves.The 90 minutes seemed to fly by, and it was obvious all on board, even Capt Bruce, were enjoying the trip.This has now turned into a "must do" every time we return to Florida! We have some friends coming to Florida in October and we will be giving them Capt Bruces card and telling them to go with him.An absolutely A-Awesome day!!

My family travels to the St. Augustine/Palm Coast, Fl area at least once a year to visit my folks. We've been making a trip down from MD at least once a year for the past 15 years and each time I try to find at least one new thing to try. Today we tried an airboat ride. I had never done this before because I thought they were only in the Everglades and too far from our location. So happy I stumbled upon an ad in a local Daytona Beach flyer. Our group included myself, two sons (14 & 16) and my dad. It's a bit of a pricier outing for us at $50 a person, and my dad was hesitant, but I have to say within 10 mins into the trip we knew we had made a GREAT choice. We had a 90 min ride and were captivated by the experience the entire time. It was SO much fun! I am so glad we picked this particular guide because his boat is much smaller than the other companies and we were easily zipping in and out of areas that the bigger boats couldn't go. It was truly a private tour and such a treat for our family. (His boat can take 6 passengers, I think you need 3 to make a reservation.) Captain Bruce was super knowledgeable, friendly and made us completely comfortable that he had the expertise and experience to provide an fun, and safe trip. We went for a 10am tour and within a few minutes had 4 alligators swimming around our boat. It was incredible. I think we were even more captivated by the cows...it's a crazy site to see them just wandering around up to their shoulders in a river, with birds on their back. My two favorite parts were when we went deep into a cypress grove that was almost other-worldly in its beauty and serenity and when Captain Bruce revved up the engine and gave us a bit of a thrill ride at high speed with fast turns. (He's happy to make it a more quiet ride upon request, but we enjoyed the speed!) My mom and my husband weren't able to join us today, but I know we will be coming back with them, hopefully later this year. It was an hour drive from Palm Coast and well worth the trip! Captain Bruce is on the water giving tours all day, you need to call after 6 to make your reservation. He was very polite and happy to take my calls prior to 6 just to talk briefly, but the reservation process was done after 6. He also gave excellent directions to his location after the reservation was made. Highly Recommend...I think going in the morning is best...afternoon storms are a regular occurrence in this area.

This was awesome. I'd never ridden on a airboat before. I highly recommend the experience, and specifically recommend Mr. Captain Gator Bruce because he is a sincerely nice guy. I thought he'd be a little rough around the edges but he is actually a professional, and a gentleman. His boat is one of the smaller ones, which in this case is a good thing. His little boat can get into smaller areas than the big ones can, which he demonstrates by throttling down and puttering into a secluded quiet cypress grove where there were more leaves overhead than open sky. He then shut off the engine and gave a quick little educational explanation about the area and plants and animals and explained the water levels and things like that while pointing out more gators in the water. His little airboat (that has seats pretty high up for a terrific viewing experience!) can go into very shallow water. Like where the water is literally only an inch deep. Or less. OMG he can even drive it up onto dry swampland! That was crazy! He explained the bigger boats aren't allowed to run onto dirt, so they have to stick to the deeper areas. Capt. Gator Bruce is not afraid to get some dirt on the bottom of his boat so we went off the beaten path and into areas the bigger boats could only see from a distance. We had microphones and headphones and he pointed out a lot of birds, gators, and even wild horses and cows that like to live out there! I highly recommend this experience, and this owner/operator.

We took our daughter and our teenage grand kids on this tour everyone had a grat time. It usually hard to impress the young crowd these days but our grand kids and their friends were grinning from ear to ear during the tour. At the end of the tour they got a photo op holding a live gator they were thrilled. We highly recommend this tour.

My husband and i really wanted to go on an airboat ride. After doing lots of research we chose this company however when we called to make reservations we kept getting the run around. They kept telling us to call back after 6 p.m. i called a few minutes after 6 pm and was asked how many was in our party and i said 2. The man then said there was no room for and was compmetely booked. So we called for the next several days and kept getting the same response, the man then told us the captain would only go out for a group of 3. I was really upset. Its all about making money. This isnt how you conduct good business. I will never refer this company to anyone. They dont understand you are not always gonna have a group of 3.

First time for me and my family on a air boat. Had a great time with Capt. Bruce jr. Got to see lots of wildlife and a great experience with a great captain. Was really cool going on land and water with the airboat. If you get the chance to go on an airboat tour, this is the one to go thru.

My first experience on a real airboat! Hope it wont be my last! I carn't think of a better host than cap bruce, boasting a wealth of experience about real florida, and a great navigator!
