We had so much fun watching birds at this location. Just one treasure after another. These man made nature areas provide such a diverse habitat that all types of birds flock to it. It is indeed like being in a zoo without walls or cages. The only downside is sharing the boardwalks with thoughtless runners that do not care about the photo you are taking or the amazing bird you just discovered you didn't have on your life list until this moment. What a great place to take beginner bird watchers who can really take their time identifying different species of birds and just plain fun for experienced bird watchers. This location is right up there with Ding Darling and Merritt Island in terms of diversity.

This is a treat. Birds are very beautiful. Scenic views are abundant. We go back often. Photographic delight.

A free (as of early 2015) sanctuary hidden among Boca's many retirement compounds, this gem features more species diversity at any given time than better known sites such as Loxahatchee and the Anhinga Trail. While not as spectacular as Shark Valley, it's easier and faster to get to from most South Florida locations, and ideal if you're based in Boca, Ft. Lauderdale, or Palm Beach. It's relatively easy to spot a painted bunting here, if the birdfeeders are full. As far as wading birds, if you're lucky, you can see almost all species found in the state on just one visit! Even the elusive sora can be seen right below the boardwalk. And the gators are usually out and about too, including a rather large one. The visitor center is closed on Sundays, but the bathrooms are still open then.

The board walk provides an ideal setting to view the wildlife. We were treated to lots of antics from the birds who seem to be familiar with people and as curious about us as we were of them! Saw the alligator swim by too!

Yes, right in our backyard! A great place to walk on their long, wooden boardwalk in the fresh air! See the beautiful birdlife and, now and then, an alligator in the surrounding water poking up its nose! The building on the premises schedules nature-related classes for youngsters. It has live wildlife specimens to see and sometimes touch. Souvenirs? Of course! FYI: I recommend you don't walk outdoors there at twilight, since mosquitoes come out for dinner at your expense!

We enjoyed our time at Grand Cay. There are two trails there. One os 1/2 mile and the other is a mile. Both are an elevated boardwalks and offer easy walking. Lots of wild life!

Take a great nature walk on an elevated boardwalk just minutes from the center of Boynton Beach. See lots of birdlife, especially wading birds, as well as turtles and other aquatic life in this wonderful setting.

I enjoyed my walk at Green Cay Nature Center. There are two loops-one is 1 mile and the other .5 mile. They almost form a figure eight. There are so many species of birds native to the area in this beautiful setting. A relaxing, educational morning or afternoon.

This is a wonderful hike with great photo ops. Saw many varieties of birds, several alligators and turtles. We walked it twice...once for exercise and once to stop and enjoy the plants and animals.

An elevated boardwalk over wetlands filled with birds, alligators, turtles etc. Two loops - one mile and 1/2 mile

A highlight of any trip to Southeast Florida for any age. See birds, turtles, alligators, trees, grasses and water plants during your walk along the boardwalk. We visited on multiple days at different times of the day, saw a tremendous variation of sites, and heard a great variety of sounds. All this is free!

A wonderful 1 1/2 mile boardwalk through a beautiful wetland teeming with variety of birds, turtles, and alligators. Great photo opportunities and fully wheelchair accessible. Nature Center closed on Sundays and you are requested not to bring food into park. And it is FREE.

No charge, walk at your own pace and look at Florida nature in it's original habitat. Take some binoculars and a camera, you never know what you might see. Lot's of birds, turtles and alligators spotted on our walk.

Green Cay is a unique way to experience South Florida nature and best of all, it's free! A 1 1/2 mi loop on an elevated boardwalk through the wetlands (stroller friendly) in early morning or late afternoon during the winter months is especially satisfying and and wonderful for birders, photographers or just anyone who wants to experience the unique eco-system. A welcome change from all the malls and busy streets. It is always one of the first places I bring visitors! There is a nature center as well and it is fun as well as educational if you plan a visit during opening hours.

Great place. No charge to get in unless it is a special event of some kind. Saw many different birds, a baby alligator, turtles and an amazing view on a boardwalk.
