Due to the time of year we were visiting, there were not many people in town which was fine by me. When we arrived, there was only a few other customers in the restaurant/bar. At first glance, I thought the atmosphere was very laid back and CLEAN! Having worked in the restaurant business before, cleanliness is a very big deal to me. The staff was friendly and also inviting when you first walked in. The bartender herself was very welcoming and helpful. When we sat at the bar, we were very indecisive on what we wanted for beer but she took the time to ask us what type of beer we liked and then matched our likings up with one of their beers. After we became the only customers, the bartender gave us her undivided attention. We got to hear about the history that was behind the brewing company and the people that they named their 6 main brews after. She discussed with us the reason for using different shapes of glasses depending on the type of beer being served and also which beer is better served cold or at room temperature. We also learned more about the current brew master at the time and how he got started in this business. The bartender even recommended a few other places to go visit before the end of our stay. Those places turned out to great places too. Our overall experience that night turned out to be wonderful and the beer was great. If you’re planning a trip to Galena, Illinois, I would recommend stopping by the Galena Brewing Company for a few beers. The atmosphere is great and so is the beer.

We asked our server what we could get to eat that would be really quick as we had somewhere to be in 20 min. She said the nachos, and she was right, they came out in 3 min! They were really tasty too! I loved the featherweight beer that had a grape fruity flavor to it. The band they had which consisted of two guys, was also very good. We tried to go the second night we were there too, but it was absolutely packed with what looked like swing dancers. Too bad because it looked really fun, but nowhere to sit. Over all it was a nice place that we would surely visit again.

Overall our experince was ok. Our watress did an excellant job helping us select our food and drink. Both were just so so. The atmosphere was nice, somewhat like a sportsbar.

After a beautiful day of riding our motorcycles to Galena, the first thing we decided we wanted was a beer. We stopped at the Galena Brewing Company. It was a busy Saturday and the bar/restaurant was packed. We were able to get a seat at the bar. As it was busy the bartenders meant business. My husband and I each chose our poison. I had the Beer Shandy and he had the Oktoberfest. Both excellent beers. The place had a fun, upbeat vibe to it, and although we are Badger fans, they had the Hawkeye football game on, puzzling, but ok. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that as I looked around, not one of the employees were smiling. Don't people know that in the bar/restaurant industry smiling and being friendly is a MUST? Still we would definitely go back as the beer was excellent!

Had a good time visiting the brewery. We had a group of 8, ate lunch there, and had a few drinks. I don't like beer much, so I was pleased that they had 'fruity' beer-drinks like the RazzBEERy....it was very good. The rest of our group loves beer, so they were happy. Decent prices for lunch and good food. I was trying to eat healthy so I ordered the Asian Chicken salad, and it was very good. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with fries, and that was good too. The sweet potato tots were delicious.

was really looking forward to trying this place. beer was ok but service left a lot to be desired. was there on Friday afternoon and it was surprisingly empty. ok place to grab beer while wife shops - not much more.

We loved the beers here and it was very chill overall in the bar/eating area. The food was good, a little confusion between the kitchen and servers on what was available and what wasn't but we ended up getting all that we ordered and overall we liked the food. The coconut chicken skewers with thai dipping sauce were by far the best item! Pulled pork was good too.

Excellent beer selection-super service- and above average pub fare-a trip on the "strip" worth making!

we visited here this weekend for my birthday they had great tasting beer at reasonable prices and a live band with jazz style music very nice comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff

Super nice and helpful. The people who work here actually care. We were treated well and everyone seemed happy.
