We went to Fitzgerald's for their Washington Island, Door County Fish boil and entertainment. Had an excellent time! The bands were great, the atmosphere electric! I liked the fact they had two stages and both a bit different. Quite a fun evening, I will go back and see other bands there as well. It's a smaller venue and has good acoustics.

My wife and I stopped here to see Savoy Brown with friends recently. Although living most of my life in the area this was my first time here. Parking is street parking and free. The crowd is eclectic mainly driven by the band playing. Inside is nothing fancy. Just a simple stage and bar to the left. Really for music what more do you need? Drinks are reasonable. Cover charge not bad for Chicago. Service is average. Getting a drink is not always as timely as one would like. If you are hungry you can order delivery or just go next door and get a Pizza. It is a laid back atmosphere that revolves around the music. As for the music I was quite surprised as to how well music sounded in this simple room. Bathrooms are clean. Don't hesitate to make your way here if a band you like is playing.

I've been visiting Fitzgerald's since the early '90's. Going to the American Music Fest next week. A one-of-a-kind experience. Good music, atmosphere and food. Took my wife on our first date there. When visiting Chicago, Wrigley Field, Sears Tower, Buddy Guy's & Fitzgerald's are a must!

This place is great for live music, this is like a old time bar nothing fancy but incredible bands come here to play live. The service was great the bar serves top brands, and there is an outdoor area to hang out in as well. If you want a seat you need to come at least an hour or so before the act starts since seating is limited, especially if the band is a popular one. Check out their web site for a list of bands coming soon. Highly recommend visiting for a band you like, since it's definitely upfront and personal.

This is the best Club. The service is the best. Drinks are poured properly and great value. Bands are good. Great place to hold an event as well. Very accommodating and friendly

I go for the jazz. There is a big band every Sunday nite beginning early in the evening in the summer. Also occasional big names like the Four Freshmen. This is an intimate setting for a rocking anything. Draft beer and good bar food. Get there early to get a decent seat. If you like rock, folk, zydeco, you name it, there is something for everyone. The monthly schedule is on the web.

This is a great place for drinks and music and friends! Bill Fitzgerald really knows his stuff and he has consistantly had amazing talent year after year. You'll love it!

My wife and I went to Fitzgerald's to hear some big band music. The first group appearing was Gallery 37, an after school program composed of musicians from Chicagoland High Schools. The music was wonderful, and young men and women from different high schools presented an inspiring representation of our younger generation. The second group was an older group of 17 + musicians called Chicago Grandstand Big Band. Their Big Band music was great. They had a woman playing the saxaphone and she was fantastic.Fitzgerald's is an original 1920's road house and has a fun atmosphere. A special "Compliment" to our waitress, Sophia. I couldn't believe that she was the only waitress serving drinks to a crowd of 100+ and she did a great job.Fitzgerald's does not serve food, but you can order food from a restaurant next door, Capri, and the food is excellent.

I was at the Sidebar last weekend when a promising local bluegrass/alt-country act, the Blockade Runners, took the stage. The boisterous crowd, already fairly well oiled on the efficient bar service, seemed enraptured by the raconteur frontman and his virtuoso band. It was heartwarming to know that these suburban venues will take a chance on real American culture. As an extra, there's an ancient piano in the lobby with some fascinating history. Take the time to check it out.

Right after christmas I was at Green Mill and I met two musicians who are now my best mates for going to Jazz venues in town. They took me to FitzGerald's Nightclub on the night that the Chicago Skyliners Big Band played and it was amazing. The venue is also a remarkable example of American architecture: located in an original road house of the 1920s near Chicago the venue offers concerts with the most talented musicians in town and a great atmosphere!
