The town around the dinner and show is ok. It entertained the kids for an hour. Some of the actors are way into making it a fun time, some are there biding there time. The show was good. They really do work hard at it. The kids loved it hands down. I wouldn't take them everytime we go out to visit family, but it was very much worth taking them, especially in the 5-10 year age range...they were totally enthralled. The food was quite good for a dinner show event like that. It was way better than what you would normally expect. Add on flying dinner rolls and the fact that seconds could be had of people's favorites and it was worth the cost.
Every year they put on a great Christmas show, old country western style! Great food too! They are extremely well organized with getting the food served and then on with the show!
The entire grounds is set up like an old western town, which was nice. I called ahead for reservations and let them know that we needed two vegetarian dinners and one regular. The woman taking the reservations was very helpful and explained what our meals would be. They offer a quick tour of the grounds, talking about the history, etc. We sat in one of two "cars" that were pulled by a tractor. Channeling the various tables through the dinner line was very orderly. One heartache I had was seconds. They offered seconds to the carnivores, bringing out more chicken and ribs. I inquired about a second stuffed Portobello (vegetarian menu), and was told there weren't seconds. Ok, got it. This was prepared especially for us, but c'mon, an additional two Portobello's wouldn't have broken the bank! The three, sometimes four, person show was very good.
Thank you Blazing M for a great evening. The experience is fantastic. Food is great! Entertainment is quite good as well. Really recommend this venue for families with younger children. There is lots to do. Make sure you show up shortly after gate opening to ensure you have ample time to see and do everything. You are best to reserve this activity.
After taking a ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad the perfect stop afterwords is the Blazin' M Ranch in Clarksdale. It was a short ride from the Verde Canyon Railroad to the Blazin' M Ranch in Clarksdale and the route was easy to follow. This hidden gem in the Verde Valley is a perfect way to finish the day with a taste of the "Wild West". When you approach the Blazin' M Ranch it is a little deceiving. Hidden behind the walls of this remote location is a Western town with all the accoutrements. Once you check in you step into what could be a town in Old Arizona. They have a wonderful set up with a nice little bar where you can order anything from a beer to a nice selection of wines. They have a very well appointed gift shop a little western museum, photo booth and even a roping corral. It's a nice way to get into the spirit of the old west before dinner. At 6:30 they ring the dinner bell and you enter the dinner hall where you are seated family style with all the other guests. It's a nice way to meet new people and have a wonderful dining experience. We were seated with a wonderful family from Washington State taking their father back to where he spent time as a youngster. We had a wonderful conversation and really enjoyed their company. When it's time to eat you are escorted into the serving area where they serve up ribs, corn, potatoes, and about anything you could ask for in a western style meal. The food was fabulous and the experience was great! They even bring around seconds and thirds if you still have room in your stomach. After dinner they have a wonderful show that is very entertaining in a western way.If you are in the area and looking for a great western dining experience you have to make a stop at the Blazin' M Ranch.
This was my 6th visit and brought 4 friends from work on our long girls weekend. The service was fabulous as usual. Did the old time photos and she chose our outfits and she posed us perfectly. Picture turned out amazing! Loved the show and Otis was my favorite. Loved "Rindercella".
We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this review. As in all cases, we take guest's comments both positive and negative, very seriously and research situations from our end in detail, so that we can respond and react appropriately to each individual situation. Our cancellation, refund, and reschedule records for last week show that we had three cancellations for Valentine's Day made, one was rescheduled for another date per the guest's request, and two parties of two were refunded in full due to illness. Since TripAdvisor understandably does not disclose last names, and the first name listed with this review does not match up with any reservation we have in our system, we are unable to contact the guest to determine if perhaps the reservation was made under a different name than the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets, which is sometimes the case, or when the guest submitted the review, the refund had not yet shown up on their card (this can sometimes take 72 hrs.). Either way, we would ask Karen S. to please reach out to us by email at info@blazinm.com or by phone at 1-800-937-8643 at her earliest convenience so we can send a copy of the refund receipt, or get more detailed information from the guest to see if there was a miscommunication by our reservation staff in some way. Thank you,
Had a great time with old time cowboy music and fun skits. The performers are excellent professional musicians. The meal was good and fun family style setting. Will do it again.
My wife and I went to this dinner and show. We were lucky and went there when they were hosting special guests from Colorado. The guitar player and fiddle player were award winners and played great. Food was cafeteria style and was good but not great.
This was an amazing evening of entertainment. I felt like Miss Kitty waiting at the Long Branch for Marshall Dillion from the old show Gunsmoke. Good Wholesome family entertainment. Great food, great entertainment and wonderful friendly people. What more could you ask for? A must do if you are anywhere near Cottonwood Arizona and the Blazin'M Ranch. R&G Gratton, Alberta Canada
This little ranch will take you back to the wild west with the best hospitality, food, and entertainment there is to offer. They make you immediately feel like family. The shops are so cute and have great keepsakes. You can even get an "old time" photo taken to remember your trip to the west. Loved this place and think it is a great place to take your family for some fun. Will be back again!
Fun place to visit, food was good and there was plenty of it the buckboard ride was fun and the various events were great.
Vacationed in Sedona only to spend more free time in Cottonwood and the show at the Blazin M Ranch was one of the highlights. Family ownership shines through -- every staff member has multiple jobs and seems to enjoy them all - whether singing or playing the guitar on stage or selling tickets or narrating a tractor-pulled wagon trip around the ranch. Food and drink were excellent and they serve 250+ people faster than you can believe with two buffet lines expertly staffed. We saw the Christmas Show but got the regular Cowboy show via the CD on sale. Very professionally done with a down-home flavor. Listened to the CD a couple of times on the 6-hour drive home.
This is a small place with some shops, good books and local crafts, the dinner is good. We saw the christmas Show and it was fun and laughter filled. Not to biog to be a lot of walking not to small to be crowded. Every one working there seems to like their job and you may see the bisquet wrangler on stage. comfortable and a good way to spend an evening in central AZ. Vwet very clean as wekk and I felt the price was right for the show and dinner, I think 34.95 for adults.
We attended the last Holiday show. 3 adults and a 6 yr. old. Would probably not have gone had it not been recommended by a friend. Then read Trip Advisor reviews was sold. Wonderful staff and a fun combination of shops, displays and some free activities before the show. The food was much better than I expected and we were offered seconds of everything. The drinks were good and not overpriced. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and an easy drive from Sedona.
