There is always something to do or see in Old Town Cottonwood. From festivals, to great dining, boutique and antique shops or just enjoying a fabulous glass of wine at one of the many tasting rooms in the area - you will enjoy your time here. The locals are friendly and you'll find that you want to return again and again!
Lovely little place with an eclectic mix of shops restaurants and wine bars, enough to occupy a weekend getaway
Just happen to visit on that weekend. The place was fill with people and was buzzing with excitement. We had a wonderful time and explore the Main Street, Car show and Music.
Fun afternoon walking the Old Town Cottonwood shops. Gallery's and lots of unique shops to look through. Also lots of choices for food you might like to try there! Loved it!
the shop, the food, the wine tasteing rooms all excellant. park and walk. lots to see and do, all the shop owners are very friendly and helpful.
When you get to Old Town you make a right turn past an antique dealer which when walking through you repeatedly say remember we had or why did we throw out.... Right before it is gas station turned malt shop with burgers etc. The town is a blend of government buildings and really good places to eat. Wine tastings, various second had shops. Having eaten in three of the restaurants on separate visits the food has been great in all. A good place to stop and eat and wander.
Title says it all. Nice little six block stretch of kitschy shops and little cafes. Spent a few hours there just enjoying the weather and a glass or two o wine.
You can walk the street in an afternoon, plenty of quaint antique shops and cute shops, a fantastic Bakery (the sour dough bread is to die for), coffee shop with local artist pictures displayed. The Tavern Grill has the best salad eva!! with very upscale appearance surprisingly for such a little town.
Tavern, Tavern Hotel, Nic's Restaurant were all terrific. Nothing negative about the town, close to Sedona. Lower costs!
You can hit everywhere in a day. What's left for tomorrow? What they have is nice, but the typical things you find in a small town. But that's the town. Most of the restaurants are really good. That's what you go back for.
After living in Arizona ten years and passing though Cottonwood dozens of times on the "main" drag back forth to Clarkdale and Jerome we finally "found" Historic Old Town Cottonwood! Wow! Be sure to check out The Iron Horse Inn, Chisty Fisher's new HQ-Studio-store, Nic's Italian Restaurant, The Tavern Grille and The Red Rooster...all great places.
We took advantage of the Tavern Hotel's Sip n Stay package for a birthday getaway. Old Cottonwood has several wine tasting rooms and 1 distillery tasting room. Cute shops and some nice restaurants (we ate at Nic's and Tavern Grille). Not much to do at night since the Shops close early (4-5) and restaurants close up around 9. We're not night owls so this was a great getaway for us.
A virtual plethora of shops and resteraunts, including the largest antique store I have ever seen. Several places for wine tasting, beer tasting, olive oil tasting and even distilled spirits. Great place to visit
We went specifically to visit D3 but were pleased to find an entire section of town full of interesting places. It wasn't our original plan but we spent several hours walking around the area and visiting various shops. A pleasant surprise and a very relaxing afternoon. We were there on a week day in January so a few places were closed. We actually preferred that to the crowds that are probably there on a summer weekend. We will go again and will make a point of going on a slow day.
Old Town Cottonwood is so charming and quaint. There are great restaurants, good shopping, and fabulous tasting rooms! If you are visiting the Verde Valley you have to stop by Old Town Cottonwood; it's a little-known gem!!!
