Great mix of hot and cold foods to take away plus small seating area outside. Probably the best Ice cream in the area, run close by the West Station Cafe.

On an overcast November afternoon my family and I drove down to the Esplanade and had a brisk walk along the front. As we headed off for home we noticed a vacant parking space outside the cafe so popped inside for ice cream. We were limited in the choice of flavours available however made our purchases and ate them in the car. Real ice cream -- superb! Next time we will buy on arrival and enjoy it parked round at the Esplanade and looking across to Helensburgh and Kilcreggan. What a pleasure to taste REAL traditional ice cream.

.. and we found it here. The soft vanilla ice cream is exactly the way we remembered it from our last visit to Greenock - 20 years ago. This is simply the BEST ice cream in the world. Italian soft ice cream like you so rarely now get it in Italy. They call it vanilla, but it's fior di latte and it is fabulous - even on a rainy, cold day.

If you are in the area then you really should try their ice-cream. My favourite is 'tablet'! A cone and a stroll along the Esplanade to take in the views is just the highlight of any sunny day!

The most amazing ice-cream for miles. I would suggest that anyone who loves good ice-cream to get themselves to this shop to sample it. I used to like locally, now when I travel from Aberdeen we always make a pit-stop at the Esplanade for some. It is SO good that our little dog gets a small tub to himself (he's not getting any of mine!!!)
