Not too impressed myself and i dont think my 4 year old son envoyés the place either. The submarine was good but then it was ok but not as i expected.

They sell you a season's pass for about 100 kr that allows you to go to this place any time you want during the season. The submarine and the destroyer are amazing. The rest of the ships are worth watching as well. Make sure that you have enough time as it won't take you less than 3 hours to see everything.

We were in Gothenberg 2 days after the Maritiman visiting season was over so were not able to enter the boats, but we're able to take plenty of pictures from the pier. There was still a lot to see along the pier.

The remains of the once so proud Royal Swedish Naval fleet have ended up here. It´s an interesting place if you are in for naval ships from the past. It´s worth a few hours though if you like to stroll around and up and down steep ladders.

Truly unforgettable experience. Various ships can be visited, but a submarine wins it all. Veterans who served aboard similar submarines are guides in there, which is a great opportunity to get some first-hand information.

A good selection of ships and a submarine. Enough for about 2 hours. Having said that, as one would expect, the inside of these can be a little cramped so getting around is a little difficult.

All ships are floating, so prepare to be gently rocked by the river. The main attractions must be the Destroyer Smaland and the sub Nordkaparn. Smaland will take its time to search through. More or less all of the ship is accessible and there are red arrows on the floor pointing out the suggested tour to "see all there is to see" (and prevent collisions in narrow passages). The tour demands a lot of climbing and narrow passages so it might not be a good attraction for anyone with moving problems. Same thing with the sub - not adapted to "easy access" at all. Everything more or less original. Some of the ships around these two are not open by default, but possilbe to see from the outside at least. If you buy a full price ticket it will also be a season ticket. That is a lot of fun for a small amount of money. If you visit dressed in uniform, you'll get a discount, but no season ticket. The museum would benefit from more fact signs.

There is a lot to see at this attraction from the war ships to the submarines. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to this museum. It is a lot larger on the inside than it appears on the outside and involves climbing up and down numerous ladders. We personally spent over one hour on the war ship as there was so many things to see and knobs to turn. There are another five large ships to look around after the war ship so plently to keep everyone occupied. We paid around £10 each for admission and were pleased to note the ticket will get you in again for free if you return before the end of the season which made it an ideal attraction for us.Would definetly return to this attraction.

This is an outdoor museum of 17 different ships (including a u-boat), although it seems like you cannot visit all of them. I found that the museum lacked in information and the little information that they had (like a video about the museum) was in Swedish. Obviously children will love it as they can visit the inside of many different ships, but if you want to know more about the maritime history, I suggest going to the Maritime Museum.

This is described as the largest, floating exhibition of ships in the world. Not sure if that is true but I can say it is a couple of hours really well spent.I was actually on business and had a couple of hours to spare. Maritiman was approx 15 minutes stroll from my city centre hotel. It is a collection of floating vessels. An old light ship, Swedish Navy Destroyer and Submarine and some other stuff. It turned a sixty-year-old man into a little boy for a couple of hours. Running up and down ladders, marveling at the claustrophobic nature of the submarine and wondering how men put up with the cramped conditions. There were also a lot of women and children visiting the museum but I think this really is one for the men.

We missed the opportunity to visit the Museum indoor part, but we enjoyed the possibility to explore museum' objects exhibited outdoor: boats, anchors, marítime vehicles etc. Everything is tagged with english descriptions and in a perfect working condition. Don't miss the paddan boat and read the story! This museus has plenty edutatement options for adults and kids!

If you want to have a look at how naval ships and a submarine look like, come to Maritiman.I used my Gothenburg card to get in, but even with paying for this specific attraction it's well worth visiting because you have so many ships that are included in the price.I was also lucky to arrive when a guided tour started which made it even more interesting. Check out their website to see what special events they have: http://www.maritiman.se/en/family-activities-and-childrens-activities-gothenburg

As a Harbour City with a shipbuilding history Gothenburg needs of course a Museum to do with ships. Here you have the possibility to go on to several real ships of different kinds and see close up how it looks inside, how the seamen lived and worked. A great place for kids and adults alike.

Honestly nothing special, boring and costly .The vessel are nothing special not any history , I recommend the Naval museum instead , where you can see the history have experience with ship simulator .
