A true bling, bling experience. A breath taking room with mirrors and lovely chandeliers! Seeing is really believing that the French royals lived like this once upon a century.

Pretty much one of a kind. All the glass and chandeliers. It was so big the crowds didn't even seem to matter here.

The room is part of the palace but it alone has so much history and looks pretty flashy. Could definitely tell it apart from the other rooms, mainly because you could buy half of Europe with it.

It's good to be king, especially if you're one of the French Louis-types that used this place for, well, thinking of how good it is to be in charge, for one thing, maybe. Needs more mirrors, though... Gotta be seen to be believed.

It is very bling, the views out to the ground spectacular. In its day it would have amazed with the amount of glass, today with the crowds maybe not so much. You really still have to go.

Visited the much acclaimed Hall of Mirrors and thoroughly enjoyed the unique experience. Although the hall was packed with visited it was still worth the visit

When I was there I have never seen so many people walking around looking up, with their mouths hanging open. Truly amazing building.

This is the most amazinly beautiful room. I think if I could have my wedding here, I would. This was on our Paris Museum Pass, but did not have front of the line access. The line moved really wuickly though. Once inside be prepared becuase there is no air conditioning so it can get really stuffy. The Hall of Mirrors is what we really wanted to see and it's well worth the hassle. Pictures don't do it justice. Beautifully decorated with paintings and hanging chandeliers. There are lots of restaurants right in front of the train station if you get hungy though they do have a cafe inside the Palace.

Had seen countless pictures and videos of the Hall of Mirrors but none really do justice to the sheer beauty of this place!

In the heart of the Palace of Versailles – itself one of the grandest buildings ever built by man – is a room which captures the awe of all who see it. From the artwork on the ceilings to the chandeliers, the hall is all about glitz and glamour. It is truly beautiful and breathtaking and boasts opulence and splendor. No photo can do justice to the true beauty of the Hall of Mirrors until you feast your eyes on it for the first time.

The hall of mirrors lives up to its reputation and that's all you need to know. Make sure to take your time walking through the hall of mirrors and the rest of Versailles! Unparalleled to any other palaces I have been to around the world.

If you have any time at all in Paris, go to see the palace and associated grounds at Versailles. It is an attraction that only someone with the access to all the resources of a nation-state could pull off! L'etat, c'est moi - indeed! You can reach it by train on the C RER line from Paris and it is the a short walk from the station, just to the left as you exit. (Note change -coins only -are used at the Versailles station for tickets, so don't try your U.S. Standard, non chip credit card or euro notes...they won't make change for you at the station! The Hall of Mirrors is famous of course, but was not my favorite room. Still, it is very impressive....the gilding, windows and mirrors are exceptional today...at the time of construction they must have been astounding. Mirrors and glass were expensive commodities in the 17th and early 18th centuries, and this place has both in abundance. This was in your face opulence as both personal consumption and statecraft. In any event, this is a baroque and beautiful series of rooms that testify to the level of craftsmanship available to a wealthy patron in prior centuries. Go and enjoy. The crowds are probably oppressive in the summer, but were very tolerable in the winter.

The Hall of Mirrors is SOOOOOOO crowded. It is gorgeous, but the beauty is a bit taken away by the crowds. People making sure they get pictures (can't blame them), but there is no regard for others. Certainly a must see, but be warned that it is extra crowded.

The pictures are beautiful--experiencing it first-hand is breathtaking. We made an effort to get to Versailles as soon as it opened. In that way we beat the crowds. While there were some people in the Hall of Mirrors when we visited, it was not crowded. We were able to snap some amazing photographs that did not have strangers in them. I recommend that if you are going to spend the time and money to visit Versailles that you get there very early so that you can appreciate its beauty in relative peace.

It is usually very crowded in this amazing room that has born witness to so much history. It is an extremely opulent room as only the French can pull off.
